It is only fair that I tell you all about my latest geeky fiber project, The Beekeeper's Quilt.

It is a knitted thing where you stuff little hexagons and sew them together in to a quilt whatever size you can endurance-knit up to.

Oh...I really like this idea of hexagons. They are both finite and infinite at the same time. Each hex gives a feeling of completion, and yet it can keep going and going and going...wow. I think I will try this!

Love the chest. I have a "treasure box" that I keep foreign coins in. It used to be a cigar box but it looks like a pirate's treasure chest. :)

It is an AWESOME idea, and just google-image "Beekeeper's Quilt" for a metric ton of amazing things people have done...
Are you on Ravelry? There, too, lie treasures.

I am pretty good with long term plugging-away projects, and this one has a nice element of being quantifiable. You have a little finished ones piling up...

Not always doing them the way it calls for you to, but it's a pretty simple pattern once you get used to it, so it's easy to do your own way. (Personally, I'm not using the cast-on that has it closed on that first end: I'm going to sew that up after stuffing them later! Which is only going to make sense once you try it, but there you go. :D)
