So... I'd like to start out by saying that I hate this whole online thing. Every stupid account I have (except for Gmail, which I really do like) is, well, stupid and they just all seem so annoying and pointless. Unfortunately, it's come to the point where I can't just quit. Which is one of the main reasons it's so annoying ( Read more... )

I'm not much of a Radiohead fan, but I emphasize with your sitch. I was browsing around ebay today, because that's what I do on sunday afternoons if nobody calls, and I randomly checked radiohead tickets and honestly, it's fucked up.

It's not worth it, save your money, buy yourself a new guitar or think about how much alcohol 500$ buys. It's important to remember the priorities in life. ;)

Also, where do you work?

Haha, indeed. I'm not letting myself think about it too much. I'll just "hire" someone to get some really good fucking bootlegs of the show or something. 'Cause I'm like that...
But anyway, I work Baskin & Robbins... The one just West of Pape, on the Danforth. And it's not too shabby.

Anny over the phone, my on my computer and I even got my dad on the other computer all clicking from like 9:58+, non-stop, different days to cover both wed. and thursday and nothing. Anny once got one for a single-ticket but she didn't take it because we wanted to go together. Yep. I wasn't even sad, I didn't expect anything. It is sort of crazy though. Check back later, that is how her and I got Coldplay tickets, she checked in a like a week or so and we got 2 tickets, but I somehow doubt it will be same for Radiohead.

Random days. This week I think I'm working, like, Thursday evening? And sometime on the weekend, 'not sure.
Please do, I meet/run-into very, VERY random people every single shift.

LSP (reversed) = I Will

I'm loving the new songs, and I really love what they did with Nude and House of Cards.
Pulk Pull/Spinning Plates is also my favorite Radiohead video, I've only seen it once on tv.

I've heard that about "I Will". I think it simply 'originated' from the same riff or something because as you can see, they're not very much alike at all when LSP is simply reversed.
Anyway, yeah, I totally agree. If you ignore the shitty quality of the Trade Justice Rally recordings, anyone should be able to realize they're amazing acoustic guitar songs alone.
I was lucky enough to get a copy of The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth of all Time a year and a half ago when it first came out! :)
Sooooo good.

Well "I Will" is actually pretty old, in between Bends/OK Computer era (those b-sides around that time are fucking gold). I think what they did was record "I Will", played it backwards, then performed what they heard. They did the same trick on some vocals before, can't remember which ones. It's a really good idea, I was thinking about taping some obscure M.O.R. shit off the radio and play it backwards for inspiration.
I've had the LSP backwards for a few years, but never heard "I Will" played backwards. What kind of software did you use to do that?

A really shitty Mac program called Audacity. It's a free download if you go looking for it.
