Agh! Sounds like a lot of hassle to go through... :/ Having not had any personal experience, but none the less experienced quite a few friends having constant problem with their cars, I wonder if I will ever bother to get one myself... In any case, I would need to get a driver's licence first. ;)
Well, most of the list is made of things that have needed doing for a couple of years but aren't terribly important... or I simply never got around to sorting out. But yeah, if you have a car which is a constant nuisance it can drive you mental... no pun intended :P Mostly my motormobile is faily reliable unless I break it myself by doing something silly. Like crashing.
Bah, and yeah. I got MOT and Road Tax approaching in the next two months, so I'm approaching the immobile status too... But I can certainly see your conspiracy point. The impractical result of people then not being able to get to work if they live some distance away and need to drive also fits in with all the 'improvements' our thoughtful and people-friendly government seem to make...
