Paper moon
Barney wonders if unrequited love isn't the single greatest thing on earth. For someone who's been dead inside for ten years, this sudden expanse of feelings - hurt, longing, desperation, need - is a revelation. He's almost scared of getting anything more. What if a relationship means death to those feelings? What if he loses them completely?
But then he sees Marshall and Lily singing along to "Paper Moon", playing on the radio, and he knows there's something deeper, something richer, something he's never gotten remotely close to.
And he looks at Robin and he doubts that he ever will.
