Yay. I can't believe it took me so long to get the chance to read this. Got there in the end though :)

I've got to admit, I wasn't quite sure how this was going to go. You know, whether the difficulties of Naomi and Em's relationship would remain compelling if you took away that one major problem, that of Naomi's unwillingness to accept her sexuality, and everyone's (especially Katie's) attitude to it. But the changes you've made work so well. The characters remain true to themselves, and the emotions and pain are so true too.
I loved how you dealt with the scene with JJ (and now I'm wondering if he's there, pining in the background for Em, and if anything will come of it, if Naomi continues to be so distant), and Effy as well.
It's all so sweet and sad, and I just want to hug them all really. And Naomi's sort of infuriating, but still lovable; and so afraid of her feelings :(.
My favourite lines in the whole thing are these, I think:
There are things she wishes she could take back. More than anything, she wishes she never had to. ( ... )

Thank you, really! It's pleasing to know they're all still huggable, definitely satisfying they're not a bunch of silly saps running around.

I put this on a bit of a hiatus, mostly 'cos I'm not a writer and how did I get myself here? Lol, but will pick it up again some time soon. ♥
