I'm sure he doesn't mind too much. He was telling me a few weeks ago that he wanted a room mate anyways.

Scientifically? I'm okay. Medically? Not so much.

[It's a few hours later when Phoenix finally stirs; he's completely disoriented, wondering how the heck he'd gotten here in the first place. Blearily, he struggles to get his eyes open, recognising the hospital in an instant.

Oh, god, surely he didn't-- not again--

It's only a few seconds later when he realises something. Trucy is curled up next to him, and all of a sudden it comes flooding back. His first reaction is to make sure that she has enough blankets, trying to ignore the guilt that he feels at making her more worried, pulling her a little closer to him for extra warmth. Phoenix hated upsetting her, and to think that he might have made this whole ideal worse...

Biting his lip, he smoothed her hair back, slipping an arm around her.]

[It had been a few hours ago that she'd found herself alone with him and realising he wasn't going to wake up anytime soon, she found herself finally letting the past 24 hours catch up on her.]

Night, Daddy. [She'd climbed up onto the bed and cuddled as close to him as she could, ensuring she didn't knock his shoulder.]

[Not wanting to disrupt her, he stays very still, though he can't resist pressing a kiss to her forehead. He's loathe to stop her from getting rest after all that she's been through -- she looks as tired as he's felt for the past day or so, though she's admittedly a lot better at hiding it than her father is. (He's just a lot better at denying it.)

Right now everyone just needed their rest, but he's feeling well enough to just watch her for the time being, and to reflect over how lucky he is to have her for a daughter.]
