[People have gone home. New people have shown up. But Kyouya doesn't really sound bothered.]

It appears that people arrive and leave here in cycles. Large groups of people leave at the beginning of each month and people arrive here every two weeks or so.

[There's the slightest sound of shuffling paper.]Has it always been this way? Has anyone ( Read more... )

[Usagi's never thought about it in those terms, because she's always been blinded by simply missing each person.]

You're right, come to think of it. But they didn't used to come that often for awhile. But before that, they did. And sometimes there are more or less.

... I guess there's not really anything the same after all.

There are always patterns. You simply have to find them.

I'm assuming that the answer is 'no', then.

If anyone's kept track, I haven't heard about it.

You could start!

I had hoped that someone would have had the foresight to compile this information a lot earlier than today.

[Sob, Kyouya is unimpressed, Adstringendum.]

But I can start.

I'm interested in seeing what you find out.

I will make the information public, of course.

[What's this? Organization? Lists? This is right up Hermione's alley!]

If you don't mind, I'd like to request that such a file be made public on a regular basis, so that others can save it for their own records and also in the event that someone may know of an arrival that hasn't properly announced him- or herself.

[... Hermione, Kyouya likes you.]

Of course, miss. Any and all information I gather will, of course, be made public to all those who wish to read it. It wouldn't make much sense to hide it.

[This would come as a shock to her, as she's not used to being liked for being anal retentive.]

Thank you. I appreciate your efforts, though you must admit that it makes it easier all around if others were able to retain and augment such a file, just so everyone is on the same page.

[Kyouya's best friend is Tamaki. He sometimes craves anal retentive.]

The information could be public -- and I'm certain I could program the entry to make sure that certain trustworthy people could edit it.

I could always use help -- and certainly, if no one else wants to do it.

No. I don't think anyone has. If anyone had, it would be Mrs Unohana. After all, most new arrivals are sent to the clinic. But I've never heard her mention anything about keeping a record while I was there.

She is certainly one of the most knowledgeable individuals in this city. I will be sure to ask her opinion.

[A pause as she seems to remember something.] Also there's the Naming Tree. [She sends him the coordinates.] It's a big tree on which people can carve their own names or the names of people who used to be here and are missed. The name might not always be easy to decifer and they're written in the person's native language most of the time. Also this practice only started a few months ago. But well, if you find nothing else, it could be a starting point.

[That comes as something as a surprise to Kyouya, but he saves the coordinates without saying so.]

Thank you -- that is valuable information.
