Does anybody know what's up with the clouds we have? I mean, I don't know all that much about weather, but I don't think Vatheon is big enough for its own weather patterns. It's pretty weird ( Read more... )

Yeah, I don't really know what's up with the clouds. It does seem weird. I mean, there hasn't been a single cloud here before, right?

Party? Really? That sounds like so much fun! And, um, also, like......a useful, responsible-type thing to do. Good idea, Akina-san!

Not that I've seen, no.

Thanks. I figured we all could use something to do here, anyways.

Hmm. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? It could be the rainy season. It is about time for it.

Well, it's a very good idea. Let me know if you need any help.

I suppose it is possible that the natural laws in Vatheon are just different enough to allow for such a small scale weather system. After all, we are living in a bubble under the sea.

Rather than that, the most intriguing thing is why it is starting now. This city is not new, so why wasn't there a weather system before?

True.

See, that's the thing that worries me. This sudden change isn't exactly something that I think will end well.

I suppose if this place has never known weather, most buildings will not be able to stand up to the force of a good rain shower or a storm. That could be... dangerous. Not to mention the possibility of flooding if it rains long enough.

Yeah, I hadn't thought of that. That's pretty worrisome. You think it'll start raining?

Aren't clouds just vaporized water? Could be that all the steam from hot showers and tea kettles is gathering up there in the dome, with nowhere to go. [Clearly, Biology and Physics weren't his best classes.]

...I guess, but if that was the case, wouldn't it all build up on the top of the bubble, like how water condenses on the top of a lid when you're cooking?

..... Huh. Well, then I'm stumped.

Same. Man, this place... as soon as you think you've got it figured out, it throws something completely different at you.

Mm. Certainly an entertaining thing, aren't they? If I had to guess, I would say this phenomena is most definitely recent. Perhaps the newer people have triggered something... or, perhaps Rachel's forecast turned out to be disturbingly accurate.

... How amusing. Somehow, I doubt she is the source for these.

[ Because, you know, he loves to hear himself talk. That, or he doesn't feel like typing, despite being a programmer. ]

... I take it you haven't met the vampire. You would know Miss Alucard if you met her, believe me. She's an irritating little girl with long blonde hair tied into pigtails with black ribbons.

More accurately, those rabbit-looking ribbons seemed to have turned her INTO one during our last little curse. She was angry, so it isn't unexpected she'd be throwing lightning around in a small temper tantrum. But she seems to have had the decency to have warned the poor idiots who may have gotten in her way.

No, I can't say I've met her.

...sounds dangerous.

I didn't know we could have weather patterns down here. Huh.

Party sounds like a good idea. I'm in.

Neither did any of us, really.

Excellent. We'll probably have it at the office or something like that.
