This was written for a "Through Another's Eyes" challenge a year ago and never posted.  It eventually became a drabble for (I think) a "Dates" challenge.  It shares some attributes with the thingy I posted earlier today.

I've been a bit scatter-brained lately, so I missed reading this when you first posted it. I enjoyed your drabble version and seeing the extension is a pleasure. You did a really nice job of capturing the emotional qualities of how I believe Alex in the WPP would be. I also love how this Tom fellow picks up on and responds to those qualities.

Then, of course, there are the great references to more familiar things: New Jersey (hee!), Petrovsky throwing Alex in the clink. I especially like how you handled all of those things with bittersweet humor.

Oh, and exactly where in Pennsylvania does this take place? ;)
