✿ To the surprise of exactly nobody, now that I'm out of that house and into my new home I don't want anything to do with the old place. I don't want to see it, I don't want to think about it, and I certainly don't want to go there. Unfortunately, I still have a) several important pieces of furniture and possessions that need to be moved and b) a ( Read more... )

I'm so pleased that you seem to be settling into your new place (and that the cats are also comfortable in it). Get the last of the old house stuff done ASAP so that you can turn your back on that part of your life and just look forward to better times.

It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since the first Harry Potter book, and I'm still loving the books and the films. I remember waiting at various bookstores for the next release to happen at midnight. All of those bookstores save one are now out of business. So sad. I love the idea that the books are now entertaining another generation, though. That's a totally excellent thing!

Enjoy your new digs!

It'll be so nice to be out of there for good. I've only been here a week and people - both people I know well and people who just know me in passing - have been commenting on how I look much happier and/or more rested and/or less depressed.

Eee, I can't believe it. I got into it a little late - I didn't read the books until after the second movie had come out. I re-read them all when the last book was released but I haven't read them since - it's so, so nice to rediscover all the little things I'd forgotten. (I've also been watching each film as I finish its book - I cannot believe how young the kids were in the first one!)

Merci. I'm enjoying it here for sure. :D Even if half my windows are covered with blankets instead of curtains and I don't have a bed yet so I'm sleeping on the couch. :D
