Long and slender? Not really asian, they are just naturally set into a kind of squint, or half-set lids kind of thing. Eyes are bright pink, he usually accents them with a bit of gold or bronze eye makeup.

Modified human. He is a pretty one-of-a-kind case of a self-alchemist

Three half-siblings, but he only knows about one of them and they are all really middle-class and he really has no reason to keep in contact with them?

He is pretty unique, he can basically grow jewels and other precious stones and metals inside his body.
Mostly this is restricted to growing them on the outer layer of his skin, because growing something in the side of your kidney isn't very comfortable. He does have to eat certain kinds of minerals and stuff to grow a certain kind of jewel if his body does not produce it naturally (he can create any kind of precious mineral in a dramatically reduced amount of time, though).
In circumstances where pressure, heat, or other external factors are needed, his body compensates for it. This obviously makes producing jewels where pressure is nessessary extremely painful for him. Thats not to say it would be fatal whatsoever. His body will lapse into a coma and keep itself alive if he strains himself too much (this is inconvinient when he is doing something that does not involve creating stones).
