When one first encounters Azusa, they might initially think "Wow, what the heck is she doing way out here of all places??"-- wait, no, that's not right. When one first encounters Azusa, they likely will think she is an rather laid back, airheaded woman! They wouldn't be entirely wrong in this assessment. A woman who sets her own pace, she often gives off the air of being slightly unaware of her surroundings. Largely due to the fact she might just be completely lost. In the directional sense. And while there is no denying she has clear and distinct qualities that one would normally label a girl airheaded, it's far from a permanent state of mind. And while she might seem it at times, she's far from stupid. She just needs to think things through slowly and doesn't like being rushed. As previously stated, she's simply a girl who sets her own (often slow) pace when approaching life and follows through on it regardless of the pace of those around her.
Of course, said pace eventually led her to turn to life as an idol. Her main reason for doing so? So that she could someday meet her ~*~destined person~*~ through shining on the stage and them seeing her at her best, of course. Which leads me to, naturally, her idealistic romantic views. Azusa firmly believes in that ~*~destined person~*~ finding her. She happily fantasizes about a perfect wedding, a perfect husband, the perfect everything. Likely even the white picket fence. Of course, she isn't just full on waiting for him to find her, she'll be a little flirty with some boys if the opportunity presents, but she won't be overly forward with it. She wants to maintain herself for that ~*~destined person~*~ of hers when they find her. To further push headline this, she has a firm belief in and love of fortunetelling and the like, and if her fortune for the day was favorable, she would definitely go into the day with a bit of extra energy.
Pedaling backward to her idol status once more, she is the oldest one in the group at 765, and as such she is very much the Big Sister figure for a lot of them. Not in the overbearing motherly way, mind you, so much and the calming, "You shouldn't do that~" kind of way. It helps that she's just the kind of girl who has a naturally calming air about her, and just sort of sparks people to want to listen to her. ... or in some cases, chase after her if she's passing by and they only get a glance. It is Super Effective on almost all fronts, unless you are some kind of black hearted monster. Then it might just make you falter.
To wrap things up simply, Azusa is just a more-than-slightly airheaded idol who sets her own pace, has romantic ideals that are slightly unrealistic for a girl her age, and wants nothing more than to help her fellow idols along while working her way to meeting her ~*~destined person~*~ due to said idol-ness.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Dedicated! While she sets her own pace to things, once she has, she sticks to it. Be it slow and steady or if she finds herself in the need to rush, she'll go full speed (or no speed) in whichever she decides on.
+ Idol Stamina! While far from an out right powerhouse, she has above average stamina and very good coordination, as is required of an idol!
+ Calming and charismatic aura! When she walks by or talks to someone, they sometimes just feel inspired! Or if they were panicked, suddenly relaxed and relieved!
+ Big Sister Skills! In line with the above, she's quite good at combining that natural air about her to help reassure those around her, or just take care of them. ... though she admittedly might need to be taken care of at times as well.
- THE WORST POSSIBLE SENSE OF DIRECTION EVER. She couldn't find her way out of a paper bag. She would end up lost on her own even with a map, GPS, compass and detailed instructions. Without someone to guide her she will inevitably go to the wrong place.
- Spacey. Or as I said above, airheaded. She can easily have her thought process derailed if something new comes up, or if she is distracted. This is doubly bad with her sense of direction, as even when talking on the phone and walking, she won't realize where she is or how she got there when she's done conversing.
- FOOD....... She does her best to keep her body in shape and in that ideal weight range, but if some sweets are right in front of her she just might not be able to resist. And she will feel very j'regrette about it.
- NO PERVING. Very few things will make Azusa genuinely mad or hate someone, but touching her inappropriately is one of those things. If you make her unfit to be a bride your end will be swift.

Ano... Excuse me... *A smiling yet slightly confused looking Azusa's face fills the screen, before she leans back from it. There are various cries of Pokemon from off camera, yet they are hardly discernible at the moment.*
I seem to have made a bit of a mistake... You see, I was told my friends were over in Goldenrod... Yet after traveling for quite some time, I must confess I haven't seen any sign of it. I passed through a nice old-fashioned city on my way, which I admit was quite pleasant. I would very much like to go back sometime, if possible. ... ah, I'm sorry, I went off track.
*There is a very distinct MOOOOOOOO from off camera this time. Without a doubt, that is the call of a Miltank.*
You see... I somehow found myself at a farm~! *Clasping her hands together happily, she smiles.* It's actually quite charming! I wouldn't have expected a farm to be so close to the big city, though I imagine they do things a bit differently here in Johto, yes? The Miltanks here are all quite friendly... In fact one even handed me a bottle of milk, complete with a top! Like the kind you would see a milkman leave on the doorstep... Isn't that adorable? It must be a advertising campaign for their brand... *There is some faint yelling from off screen, as Azusa looks off* Oh, I'm sorry! I need to go help the owner of the farm cheer up one of the Miltank that's been feeling down lately...
That's all for now, so I'll talk to you later, everyone! ♥ *And with completely forgetting her initial purpose, off it goes.*

It didn't take that long.
Azusa had been out on the road for a few days-- despite the desperate protests of her friends to wait or travel with someone-- yet she couldn't simply wait for them to come to her. While she was flattered that some of them offered to come get her, she at least had to make a bit of effort to meet up with them herself. It just wouldn't do for her to sit around twiddling her thumbs for upwards of a week. So off she went, into the wilds of Johto as many a adventurous trainer is sure to do!
Which is exactly why it didn't take long for her to find herself lost.
Somehow, through some freak accident of physics defying logic, she had found herself in the middle of Route 45. A normally impossible to navigate route unless you were going down it, and she absentmindedly managed to walk up it for a whole day before it occurred to her that something might be amiss. There hadn't been any sign of the other new arrivals who left around the same time as her, so something had to be wrong. They couldn't all be that lost, right?
With a small, resigned sigh, she crouched down to smile at her dutiful little elephant. The tiny Phanpy letting out a proud trumpeting sound at her, as she gently stroked his trunk in approval.
"It seems I've made a bit of mistake, Raja... Do you think any of the Pokemon around here would be kind enough to direct us back toward the proper route? I know we've had to flee from quite a few of them, but surely there are some here who could direct a passing trainer in the proper direction."
The Phanpy let out a worried sounding trumpet in reply, as all the ones they had run into up here were waaaaay too strong for him to handle... Even if he would have liked to try.
"Do you suppose we could retrace our steps? My... Which way did we come from again...?" Glancing off ahead--and in the clearly wrong direction-- Azusa watched some of the wild Pokemon in the area take off. "Oh my... Perhaps if we ask one of those large metal birds? They would definitely know this area well.. They have had a bird's eye view, after all~!"
The tiny Phanpy let out a trumpet of protest at this, shaking his head rapidly. Azusa turned to him with a smile. "Now now, there's no need to sound so concerned. We can always-- Oh!" Without a proper warning, the Phanpy lifted his lost trainer up onto his back, before turning about and starting to march his way back down the route in the proper direction. "My... You're much stronger than I gave you credit for, Raja. I wouldn't have ever imagined I would be riding on a tiny elephant when woke up this morning..."
With on final, proud trumpet, the Phanpy marched forward, with his directionless trainer on his back. At least one of them had to have a sense of where they were going. And to be honest, Azusa didn't particularly mind. He was enjoying himself, after all! And she is far from the type to question how a tiny little thing like him can carry her. Perhaps it meant she had lost some weight since setting out...?!
"Oh... That would be wonderful~"
With that exclamation, the idol rode off oh her tiny elephant, completely losing track of her surroundings.
It was going to be a long walk for this tiny elephant.
