Just to let you know they made an error in Sharpe's Challenge. Lucille remains with Sharpe until 1861 (by which time he has died). This is evidenced by their son Patrick Henri (in the Starbuck series of books) stating that she is 'very lonely' by this time.

Oh yes, I do know that the filmed versions depart from the books in many particulars. *g* I have only read one of the books and chose to base my essay on the films, rather than that one book.
