you're immaturity at the end of this post is, while not suprising, saddening.

i really enjoyed talking to you throughout the years and stood up for you even when others were saying how lousy a person you were.

but now i'm really starting to wonder how i ever could value your opinion or conversation, seeing as how immature and starkly leftist you've become (always were?).

even though i am not excited about our next president, i'm certainly open to him proving my fears were all in vain.

so when you get done focusing on being right/hating on anyone that has different views than you/being on that high horse you've put yourself on, talk to me. heavily doubt that day will ever come, but if it does i welcome talking with you again.

till then, just move to europe, everyone is over hearing you bitch about all this.

Well Rachel, its nice to know that you returned the favor of defending each other against malicious accusations from our shared "friends" in Charlotte - I got a little tired of having to defend you when you were accused of being self-centered and only caring about Bubba and not anyone else, back in the day. So thanks ( ... )

I don't know how we got here, but here we are and obviously cross with one another.

I don't think your immature "I TOLD YOU SO" is warranted and I responded in a heated manner due to that. Really, uncalled for and petty.

Why do you always have to be right (seriously meant, not meanly meant)? Why is it important to be the correct one to you? Because it certainly puts the impression on other people that you think so little of them because of their views and you'd like to prove it to them, yourself and the world. Doesn't make much sense, does it? Who cares?

and I imagine that last line is where lots of anger came from me over the past few months - quite upset that you weren't respectful of me and my opinion. You, without hesitation, threw my ideas and views out the door as "WRONG" and yours in as "RIGHT" when we all know that's not how politics or the world operates.

No black and white, only lots of gray.

Agreed, that last line had an inappropriate amount of "gotcha" to it. After I read that news story about Palin it reminded me of your equally inappropriate responses to my facebook statuses.

But if you're ok with this, can we just forget about it all now? Thank god this ridiculous election is over, plus, at the end of the day, we're arguing over words said over the Internet. By this point in time, you and I should both know that it is extremely easy to misunderstand words said on the Internet - communicating in person is always much much easier. You misunderstood me and got over-defensive, I immaturely egged you on with the last line in my latest entry, so we both made mistakes and its time to forget it.

You're still my friend, whether you like it or not :P

Rachel I think you just misunderstand the way I articulate my political positions. I would say that the vast majority of my friends are highly politically-charged (and disagree with me vehemently on several issues) and they debate in a very similar fashion as myself... we just don't take it personally. Maybe thats where I adopted my methods of political discussion, I don't know, but I do know that out of the countless of political discussions I have had during this election period, you are the first one who has accused me directly of this ( ... )
