So I've read this twice now, in hopes of gathering my thoughts and giving a good review. However, the dysfunction of the story and all the underlining emotions have me severed into two pieces. My thinking is a bit screwed, so be patient.

I absolutely loved the story. And I disliked it to the point of feeling depressed. What I love about the story was how well written it was (of course!) and the amount of love and dedication that came from Harry and Draco in regards to their relationship. What I disliked was the abuse, and the manipulation. Though Harry can walk away, Draco knows his weakness and how to get Harry to do as Draco wants. It's a downfall on both of them, one you have displayed well.

Overall, I don't think I've read anything this well written and this expressive in a long time. I am honestly impressed. (Perhaps it doesn't take a lot to impress me, but there are only a few select authors that I read religiously. That, and a link to your journal in my Bookmarks Toolbar folder. :D )

Draco seems really desperate this time...like he is trying to prove himself over and over again. Like he needs Harrys submissiveness to feel himself worth enough.
I don't know if this makes sense to you, but it's the moment he asked harry "do you love me"..."yes"..."Then you’ll do as I say".
He has to threaten him with pain and brutal rape to make sure harry stays! It seems Draco can't even stand anymore the short moments when harry leaves him.
So he makes him stay with the only thing he knows, inflicting pain and fear to disobey...

It doesn't matter if you don't understand me! You wouldn't be the first one ;)

i think although draco is the one controlling harry in this, to some extent harry is also controlling draco. because, like you said, when harry leaves him for a while, draco can't accept the fact that he is alone and so punishes him for it when he gets back. and then when harry eventually decides to not go out and stay in with draco, he rewards him with gentle, loving sex. i definitely think draco is the most desperate in this one.
