I love him so much, because, yes, he was a musical genius, and he simply changed the musical scene for ever. But mostly, because, as you say, he showed me that it was perfectly okay being who you are, even if who you are is completely different of how the rest of your world is :')

And what a best goodbye could had he left us than Blackstar? I'll be free / like that blue bird / I'll be free / Ain't that like me?
