Saturday was Mat's birthday (he's 31!), and a part gift for him and a part sympathy gift for me because Kira loves him best, we bought a new bird

Yup, we're bird people... this is our other bird, Kira. This picture is about a year old and a molt or two ago, and she's much more yellow and orange now, but you get the idea.

Man, I would love to buy a bird. I have parakeets at home and I really miss them. But we're gone all day and I would feel bad leaving one alone.
