Part 1,
Part 2,
Part 3Surprise flits across Edgeworth's face and he leans forward to study the bandages.
"Do you want me to take them off?"
"That won't be necessary." Edgeworth sits back and flips through the file once more. "The knife in the sink?" He holds up a picture.
The knife is lying in the sink. There are small, thick ,round droplets along the edge. There are blood droplets leading towards the edge of the sink and a blood trail on the counter.
"It's mine," he says, "all of it."
Edgeworth makes a note of it and tucks the photo back in the folder.
"Were there any witnesses?"
Edgeworth looks up sharply at that. "What do you mean?"
He looks down at the counter. "I was going to call the ambulance, but I couldn't find my phone. It wasn't in my pocket like it normally would be. Detective Gumshoe came
running up soon after, so..."
Edgeworth relaxes a little. "Yes, there was someone who heard a scream and called the
police. However, they didn't see anything." He pulls a note out of the file and holds it up. "I assume this is your note."
He nods. It's the one he dropped when looking for his phone. "It was on the counter. I don't know what it means."
Edgeworth nods and makes another note. He frowns. There's something written on the back. "Wright...what's RL-76?"
Phoenix shakes his head. "I was hoping you would know. I think it's a sealed case though,
they usually have double digits."
"That's true...I suppose you don't remember anything about this either?"
Phoenix nods. "No clue. It was written on a bunch of my papers, along with a few annotations about self-defense laws."
"Hmm" Edgeworth glances at the clock. "Well, we can make a case with these. I'll see you tomorrow Wright." He gets up and walks out the room.
