The watching porn while eating cookies part... hilarious.
Yeah, the sex scene totally made me think of Californication! I was all 'Oh, AGAIN?' and really, I didn't mind having that kind of image stuck in my head again ;P

Ya, totally agree. The cases are really well written and gripping, without being sappy or anything. And same as you, I'd watch this even without CKR - it has the right mix of darkness, humor, casefiles and personal moment. But then, having CKR on top of that? Perfection ;)
and really, I didn't mind having that kind of image stuck in my head again ;P
Hahahaa, no kidding! The only thing that was missing was the red ball, but then Harry's a talker. I wonder if that was on purpose.

Funny, but the coroner is the one who sticks out for me as well, the rest is a great cast and make really interesting characters. Incredible how much they can pack into one hour.
A second season would be fab, but sadly the ratings are kinda sucky.
And thank you! It's fun writing these and thinking about the show. I wish there were promos so we could all speculate what's going to happen ;)

I think ep 3 for us was supposed to come after the last ep, so ya, 1, 2, 5, 3, 4. As the things Doc mentioned in that ep happened in 3 and 4. Though then the Naomi bit with Doc doesn't make sense still. GAH!

Well, I don't think with Terry, as Pam said she passed Ella's ground rules so that was referring to when they were partners. Though acually you are right, if Ben was blacking out back then as well, who knows what Harry got up to?
And yes, Harry is oddly endearing. He really doesn't seem like a bad guy, more like an impulsive teenager in a way, what with the cookie-gift.

And ya, the ratings sucked. I asked the guy at the blog if he knows what exactly is measured, so hopefully he knows. Man, this show is too good to not get many more eps. Hopefully sales abroad will help and everyone in the UK will tune in. Though that's also a cable channel, isn't it?

Hallmark and 13th Street are both Universal cable channels, from what I know. And I seriously don't get it. How can the ratings drop? This show is so addictive, I would even watch if Callum wasn't in it. People are stupid, obviously preferring generic shit over a show like this. Argh!

I'd tune in if I could! :) Hallmark is available via satellite and cable, though I've never actually heard of 13th Street. :o Not everyone has satellite/cable (I don't sadly. /o\), but you can be sure everyone will have Freeview - Shattered might have been better off sold to one of the Freeview channels, like Flashpoint which went to ITV3 (though they're still showing S1, for some reason. Hmph.).
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for an eventual DVD box set. *g*
