My Parrot!

Well, Seamus is slowly starting to trust us more. While ago I was eating a hamburger and he was out and he came down the ladder and got on my shoulder and reached out to get a bite of my hamburger.. So I gave him some and he liked it. We shared it! Lol. He just sat on my shoulder and I'd take a bite and he'd take a bite, etc. etc., and a couple ( Read more... )

I love birds! I had a beautiful little budgie but he flew away 'accidentally' cos his feathers grew back. :(

Your Seamus (I love the name) sounds so cute. I love it when you can share food with your pets its so 'bonding' I think. :)

I hope you have a lovely holiday. And btw I like all of your pets names their so creative.

*hugs* Be safe! And go on holiday's looking for people to share the good news of the Gospel with ;)

Lol thanks much! My Aunt Pat suggested that we name him Patrick because he's mainly green and we're Irish and Patrick is an Irish name.. But it really wasn't that original and I didn't like it that much and I know someone named Patrick that I wouldn't really want to be reminded of.. So my mom came up with the name Seamus but she was hesitant to actually name him that because it sounds like "Shamus" and people might think it came from shame... Cause a lot of people don't know it's an Irish name.. But we ended up naming him Seamus Raphael. My mom came up with Raphael as a name because in Jewish theology that teach that Raphael is an angel of healing, and Seamus is mainly green which also represents healing.. And I liked the name Raphael.. So I ended up deciding his name would be Seamus Raphael because I like the ring it has to it ( ... )

I know what you mean, there were so many boring options to name my bird and I guess Sarge is kinda original but we had some close friends who had a bird named Captain so we thought Sarge was a cute name to match, my Dad actually came up with it. He was such a beautiful little bird, but he got reall naughty at the end, he'd like bite my lip and not want to be touched at all...but he was still so cute!

No, we don't call Parakeets, Budgies here. They're both a different bird. We call Budgies (the small little, colourful birds) Budgies short for Budgerigars (lol the name Budgerigar is just too long to be saying over and over when your talking about such a tiny little bird hehehe)

Wow you like animals huh? So do I but I guess having 10 people in your family, naturally animals have to come second place.

Awww little baby birds sound adorable. How come Myrtle kept laying?
I really like the name Abishag and Myrtle btw.

Your time away sounds wonderful!
God Bless you greatly!
Love from Elizabeth

btw, I wish you had Facebook, because on there I put a picture of Seamus... lol.. I wish you could see him... He is mostly green, with red on his forehead and blue around the red, and all the colors of the rainbow in his tailfeathers and his wingfeathers.. But you can't see any of those colors until he stretches out his wings or fans out his tail.
