at nineteen

I DON'T WANT TO BE SEPARATED FROM TENIPURI. ;A; But alas, I must! If only for the sake of suffering days and days filled with advance factorisation so that I can have a lot of free time after. And I need to study. Really.

So fanfics might be a bit scarce nowadays, BUT! It's Shishido's birthday on the 29th! Let's see if I can whip something up. 8D

But yesshu, I was already lying on my bed with my eyes closed at 4 AM in the morning when I thought of this. I am so crazy, I know. 8D

Marui didn’t like buying Kirihara food. It wasn’t that he was cheap or anything. It was just that Kirihara ate expensive food, and he ate a lot, too. Oh, and he rather liked Kirihara’s pouty face, too, not that he’d ever say it out loud, but it was one of things he’d say to himself whenever Kirihara decided to be all seductive just to get some free food. It was what made his resolve strong.

When Kirihara made that announcement one particular stormy night, the first thing that popped into his head was the well-being of his wallet and he actually felt a little scared at the thought of Kirihara having cravings, and that was before the sentence registered in his brain. When it did, he was absolutely horrified.

“Marui-sempai, I think I’m pregnant.”

“…Whut?” He stared, the lollipop nearly falling from his mouth. He quickly caught it before it hit the floor because lollipops were precious, and they didn’t just grow on trees, you know? He felt Kirihara’s stare burning onto him, so he swallowed, realizing that he sounded and looked very stupid at the moment when he shouldn’t be looking and sounding stupid, because geniuses just didn’t do that, so he spoke again, cursing himself when his voice shook just a little bit. “I mean, Akaya, what?”

Kirihara frowned, eyebrows knitted, “I think I’m pregnant.”

“Uhm…” Marui swallowed again, “How is that possible?”

“I don’t know!” Kirihara scowled, annoyed, and Marui would have been annoyed too, if it weren’t for the fact that Kirihara also looked like he was about to cry but was just holding it in. “I went to the doctor the other day. He said I was pregnant!”

“Uhm…” Marui started, before realizing that it was the exact same thing he said just a few seconds ago. Sighing heavily, he stepped forward and grabbed the back of Kirihara’s head, shoving it down on his shoulder. Running his fingers through Kirihara’s hair, he mumbled, “Seriously?”

“What?” Kirihara grumbled, annoyed, “You don’t believe me?”

“I mean…” Marui fumbled for the right words. If what Kirihara said was true and he really was pregnant, then Marui should be careful from now on. He still remembered the horrible days he faced when his mother became pregnant again. Days and days of pure torture. If women were like when pregnant, men must be so much worse. “Isn’t it some sort of mistake or something?”

“I don’t know!” Kirihara growled, “Either way, it’s your fault!”

“My fault?” Marui scowled, “Who’s the one always insisting we do it every other day?”

Kirihara’s shoulders slumped. “It’s your sperm that needs to tame down, you know.” He mumbled.

Marui frowned at the lack of fighting spirit in the boy’s voice. Sighing, he patted Kirihara’s back and kissed the top of his head. “Take me to the doctor then.”

And so they went.

When they entered the clinic, the glasses-wearing nurse with the short, brown hair greeted them with a big smile, before catching sight of Kirihara. “Oh, Kirihara-kun. You’re back! I’ll call the doctor right away.”

Kirihara grumbled his reply. Soon enough, they were inside this white room with the doctor with all sorts of medical equipment around them that made Marui shiver. The doctor greeted them with that gentle smile of his, and Marui raised one tentative eyebrow at the fact that the doctor somehow looked like Niou. Oh, well. Niou was scary. Doctors were scary, too, so it was probably only normal for them to look like each other.

Come to think of it, the doctor sort of looked like Yagyuu at some angles too.

“I’m guessing that Marui-kun doesn’t believe you?” The doctor smiled, amused. Marui wanted to punch him. The doctor continued, “I know this seems a bit farfetched, but Kirihara-kun is indeed pregnant. I’ve ran some tests, and Kirihara-kun has reported to me that he’s been experiencing symptoms of morning sickness. I also gave him a pregnant test, just to do it the old way, and he was positive.”

“Uhm…” Marui started, before cursing himself that he was doing the uhm thing again and geniuses don’t do the uhm thing. “How far is he?”

“About two months.”

They left the doctor with Kirihara looking gloomy and Marui looking thoughtful, both of them charging towards the rain with only one umbrella to share.

“Marui-sempai…” Kirihara started, thoughts swirling. He didn’t think he could live with it if Marui decided that he didn’t want to take care of a baby at the age of 19, and just leave him for some sort of tramp that he picked up on the streets to instead travel to New York and become a pimp. Kirihara faltered, “If you…”

“Akaya,” Marui started, “What do you want to eat?”

Kirihara paused, raising an eyebrow, “…Taiyaki.”

He expected Marui to hit him on the head and scream that it was effing 9 PM and it was raining and the nearest place where they could buy Taiyaki was probably miles away, but he certainly wasn’t expecting Marui to look through his wallet, humming thoughtfully, before saying, “Let’s go, Akaya.”

They started walking. Kirihara mustered up the courage to ask, “Marui-sempai, what are you doing?”

Marui frowned, scowling at him. “What else?” He grumbled, taking Kirihara’s hand in his and gripping it tightly. “Being a good husband, that’s what.”

I want to clarify that yes, I wasn't thinking straight when I wrote this, and this should probably be called AU, but probably not as well, because it's totally possible that it just slipped their mind that boys don't have mammary glands. >>;; BUT I CAN WISH, CAN'T I? DD:

♥ And nooooo, that's not Yagyuu and/or Niou there. But maybe it is them. Or not. You never know. 8D
♥ Why Taiyaki? Because they're shaped like fish. That's why.
♥ Yeah. Kirihara still calls Marui Marui-sempai even if they're in university already. <3
♥ Kirihara's morning sickness = uhhhhmmmm... stress from school? >>;; wtf.

♥ Happy Birthday, Kirihara! even if his birthday is still on the 25th. >>;;

♥ friend this little writing journal of mine? ;3

Comments are love, yes? :)
