it must be. perhaps it they are happy because their Saturday has a soundtrack, whereas the characters of No Exit are stuck, trapped without an exit, if you will, in a book that by the very nature of its media cannot include musical accompaniment? Perhaps if our respective jobs, for example, came provided with exciting musical accompaniment, we wouldn't feel the need to count down quite so strongly.
but in the face of the dunessssssssss, that can't be entirely plausible.
