You know, I thought you were talking about a metaphorical garden, as a parable for nurturing relationships with other people. But you turned out to be... just... you know, talking about gardening.
...yeah.
My bad.
In any case, if you are searching for a potential mate, shelling out sixty bucks for a dating website isn't a bad investment. For best results, cast a wide net. It's unavoidable that you'll find some you don't connect with, or who do not connect with you. But when you find the one, it might mean some good things that make it well worth the time and effort. (No, not a surprise baby. Pack protection.)
I tend to not talk metaphorically. This is twice to my recollection that you've made this mistake regarding me.
The details I'll work out in some form or other, I have no concern about that. The idea of dating multiple people at once, casting a wide net, makes me sick to my stomach. Personal ethical constraints, derived in no small part from the OCD character of my personality and the consequent near-eidetic memory, are part of that. When I've tried in the past, it leaves me feeling like a sociopath... which, strangely, is not something I find comfortable.
I'm perfectly fine with making my own way. It's pretty much what I've always done.
