Which appears to be selling a bottle for a mere $8 or so. So I assume that rather than being a lifelong quest you're asking where in the UK stocks it ?

Okay. After a considerable amount of searching, I have the following information.
Osborne produces two different amontillado wines:
Coquinero
AOS Solera
These are the only two amontillados they make. I don't know if they do any rebottling for the American market.
The Coquinero was rated 3 stars in the Decanter magazine of December 1997.
The closest place to home you can get hold of the Coquinero (I haven't managed to track down any Solera in the UK that isn't another type of sherry) is:
www.everywine.co.uk
which sells a case of 6 bottles of Bodegas Osborne Coquinero Fino Amontillado for £55.52. Find it by searching under Osborne.
You may be able to get either sherry sent to you by Vinotempo, which doesn't have a website and is based in Spain, telephone number: 0034 954210659.
Hope this helps! I'm still working on the women and song...

Thank you. (The Coquinero is what I was looking for.) I tried Everywine last night, but their site was down. I'll give them a go, although I was really hoping to find a single bottle.
I'm going down to London to do some searching soon, but there's a little wine store just north of your apartment (Europa, I believe) that I used to go to frequently. Any chance you could check there, since I was going to anyway? They had a very nice vouvray I searched everywhere for last year.
