It's tough being a mummy! Many of my friends don't like breastfeeding or don't have time to do so. Some have problems just like you (it's quite common actually), or some find it just too painful (try getting someone to bite your nipples for an hour a few times a day - wearing cabbage leaves only give a little comfort). Many of my friends are actually too busy (being teachers), so they express and store. Some have too much milk and pass them to friends :-) (not me). Post natal depression is not as uncommon as you think either (it's commonly known as baby blues), and if I think most slowly get over it in a few months. Why not get someone to help with the household chores? Or get someone to help with the baby during the first month? 坐月子 is a time for mummy to take care of her own health. How about your mum or hubby's mum? You don't have to be supermummy, you know! Take care, and I hope I will be able to see you in Nov!

Aiyo, on one hand I don't know whether to be amazed OR I should have known that you WOULD know about this... and you are right, having someone bite at you at the initial few days is not fun. I *think* some people actually manage to survive it (my SIL persisted for month before getting her daughter to latch properly. Complete with crying tantrums and all ( ... )

Nov - Orz!! Cheh... Miscommunication there.. I think my wires got crossed for a moment! I'm not sure, because its my first time going there on the Winter Band festival... any advice? I let you know once I get my itinerary hor.

Popped a tit? Wa, talk about being unabashed about physical self!

I know what you mean abot the BM, XW's cousins who were strictly brought up on BM (although they also had latching problems. And my SIL really just presevered. Through crying and everything else) still fell sick frequently with high fever when she was a toddler.

Actually thats the arrangement with my mom now, I do the housework whilst my mom helps me out with handling the baby. So I bath the baby etc, and when its time for feeding (and I am in the midst of housework), I prepare the bottle and pass it to her for the baby. Its ironic that we have had to seek refuse in housework in order to get some personal time!

(BTW as I am typing this, its one hand on the keyboard and another on the rocker!)
