TASTE OF CHAOS TOUR!! [3/31/05]
i'm at the sewing shop workng, and i called channing around 9am because i thought they had forgotten about me. no one picked up. since my mom was really busy with the clothes, she said, "do you relaly have to go?" i told her i bought the ticket a long time ago. she said how much, and i said 40 bucks. she just glared at me and continued to work. i felt soo bad, but i had to go. i call channing again around 10am, and hakon picked up. i told them to pick me up around 12pm because i wanted to leave early. they said they'll pick me up, but not sure whawt time. i said it was chill. they ended up picked me up at 3pm. when they called me for the directions to the sewing shop, i gave them the directions, and they said i gave vague directions. hahha they finally come to the shop to pick me up, and they dropped me off at my house for a bit so i can exchange the phone to my sisters camera phone. kelley, like she is, gets excited to see me and yells out my name. i pick her up, and try to get my things together. while i get to the car, she says hi johnnie hi mictel, hi channing hi akon. haha. [guess whos name is whos...] its was soooo adorable. irresitable baby, i tell you.
so me, johnny and michelle shits in the back, hakons driving, and channings in the front. we're off looking for the freeway to get to long beach. it took about 30 mins to get there. while in the backseat of the car, we were talkinga bout stupid stuff. like johnnys saying that we should wave to the police, since one passed by us. he said that his friends did one and they got pulled over because the cops thought they were drunk or something. haha only little kids can wave to the police. when we're around the long beach area, we think its the long beach arena, but wasnt sure. we did see a shitload of people outside this roundshaped building with undersea painting. they all looked punked out too. hahaha so we gave it a try, and wen that way. coincidently, it was the long beach area, and hakon got a parking space. we had to pay 8 bucks for it. hakon payed for the whole thing, which means we have to pitch in later to hakon. uhh, when we finally get out of the car, an old dude comes up to us and says something like, "we want you guys to have fun and be safe at the concert, so we have some stickers to show it." he stats showing us some stickers. they were pretty neat. i forgot what they said, but we threw all the stickers in the truck, hoping to get it back. i never got mines back. oh well. so we're finally off to TASTE OF CHAOS!!!!!!!!
goddamn, the line was super long. we walked, and walked and walked. it was crazy. then we finalyl get at the end of the line. we didnt feel so bad because there were a shitload of other people who were followinf us to get into the line. we waited for practically 5mins or so until the line actually moved!! haha. sad how hakon was sick. he looked as if he was goiong to faint anytime soon. while we were in line, channing said he was hungry, so we contacted jenny and oliver since they were at some restaurant to get food. while we were waiting in line fora pretty long time, this security lady goes through the line saying, "floor tickets? floor tickets? floor tickets? floor tickets. WHAT?? you're in the wrong line!" hah these little dudes that look like they just came right out of school showed their tickets and they got yelled at the security lady. we were kinda freaked out beucase we were right behind them! the lady said that the balcony line is right up in the front. so we followed what the lady said, and we felt kinda better knowing that the line wasnt so long after all. it was soo funny, because, when we looked behind us, we say practically EVERYONE that was behind us follow us to the balcony line. hahahahaa so when we finalyl get to the balcony line, i see a bunch of tour buses. i felt happy because im like, oh, what if somr rockstar pops out? that would be awesome. then i see gerard. he was just standing behind some fence, waiting for security guards to guide his way throught the line so people dont tackle him down. or at least his expression made it look that way. hahha then he gets by, i wanted to take a picture of him with my camera phone, but i was too slow. hahha. then i see frankie come from the tour busses. wow! haha he was crowded around like, 25 people. i told johnny, "hey, im gonna go jump on frankie. lets go. hahahha" we went, but i didnt jump on him because, obviously he was circled with people. eh. i sqeezed my way through some people and managed to take a super cute pickture of frankie on some girls phone. then i walked away. the line didnt move much. i turn around, and i see dave, from senses fail! i was also gonna take a picture of him, but he just walked and i was too slow. hha. im like, "johnny! look! theres gerard! look! its frankie! look dave!" hahahhha! johnny had NO clue who was who. hes like, "where? what band is he from? what does he play in the band? im sorry, i only listen to the music. i dont remember whos who." hahah it was funny. then jenny, oliver and bryan comes, with food too! hahah i ate the fries. the fries ended up giving my lips a HARDASS rash. it made my day very bad. seriously. so the line is moving, and moving, and i steal a revolver magazine off the floor. its still readable and clean. hahahah. it ended up gettting torn and shit when we went inside.
so we FINALLY get into the damn building! they checked us and stuff. i see merchandise i wanted to buy, but i waited until later. like, after the show. so we try to find out balcony seats. we ended up siting somewhere, we dont know. it was kinda close to the stage, so we didnt really care. hahah. we soon saw people pouring into the pit and johnny and me are like, "OMG! I WANT TO BE IN THE PIT SO BADLY." hahah. it was funny. like, its soo boring on the balcony. people yell at you to sit down because you're in their view...blah! so we're sitting there, waiting. we were actually there kinda early in the seats. we waited like, 15mins for people to fill in the seat and pit. grrrrr. hhaa
then the acoustic band starts playing. i dont know the band name, but johnny kept making fun of them, like, ohh so EMO! haha. after they finished playing, A STATIC LULLABY performed! at first, me johnny and michelle are like, who are they? haha i had these guesses but they werent even right. hahah. the guitarist did look very familiar and then it struck me! hahah. so, their performance was chill. i didnt know their new stuff, but their old stuff, omg. it made me want to jump! but im stuck in the freakin seat just watching. blahhhhhhhhhhh. i try to take pictures, but you cant see shit! me and johnny wanted to jump off the balcony so bad. it didnt look too high, but it kinda was. we suddenly see some dude run down the stairs of the balcony and jumps over the balcony, and down in the pit. dude, that was crazy to see.
back to the acoustic stage, nicky p. performed. ive heard of him on myspace. he added me, but i deleted him after. hehe. but eh, he was cool. not too shabby. hahah. then SAOSIN performed! dude, they made me want to jump, and dance in the pit. especially when they played seven years. but yet again, we're stuck in the goshdamn seats. haha they put on a pretty good show, i'd have to say. me and johnny wanted to find a way to the pit, so we left during the saosin performance. after saosin, some band called MY AMERICAN EYES or something played on the acoustic stage. so we're just walking around, trying to find ways to get to the pit. we dont know. hahah there are guards checking your wristband to be in the pit. that sucked. so im like, lets try to get backstage. haah impossible. lol so we're walking around the whole arena building for like, 10 min. we give up, and go back to our seats. then michelle and hakon needs to use the restroom, so i insist on taking them because i just went myself, and i know where it is. we go find the bathroom and they went pee or took a shit, i dont know and care, hahahahaha. and then hakon wants to find a ways to the pit. so we're walking about for about 10mins. for me, it'll be 20 mins. haha we wanted to run pass the guards that are taking care of the exit door from the pit. suddenly, a fight happens nearby the exit door from inside. the guards inside, and we see a shitload of people running it. hakon made a move, but it was too late. goddamn! hahaha. that was kinda close. then i hear SENSES FAIL play! i wanted to go back to the balcony and watch them. so after 3mins of just standing there, we went back. hakon said for me and michelle to go ahead, he's going to find a way to the pit still. i wanted to go follow, but i felt i shouldnt.
we go back to our seats and watch a little of senses fail. they played most of their new songs rather than their old stuff. i wished they played bloody romance because that song is still the shit! while we were watching senses fail, we see someone from below in the pit wave. OMG! ITS HAKON! hahha we're like, "how'd you get in??!?!?!?" he gave the motion of running. hahahhah me and johnnys like, come on, lets jump. hahha we didnt though. we all decided to get out of the balcony because it was no fun at all! so we left near the end of senses fail to find a way to the pit.
some acoustic band was playing, not sure who because we were all off trying to find a way inside the damn pit. even me and michelle tries to offer the security guard money to let us in. he said he would get fired because they were watching from inside. damn. ahhaa. we were hopeless. we kept walking around, up and down the whole arena. we practically knew the place by heart one something hahahah. since the wristbands were green, so were the lemonade straws! hahah so i took a bunch of the counter. the guys saw, but i dare not look back. hahah and we try to make it look like wrist bands. it didnt work swell. when you bend the straw, you see the bent mark. damn. so we gain wandering about trying to find a way again. plan A didnt work. hahahah KILLSWITCH ENGAGE started to play, and we're like, "you wanna watch killswitch?" we all said no, and we continued to find a way to the pit. i started to ask a lot of random people if they were going to still use thier wristbands. i asked this really cute dude, and he was soo sweet about it. he siad no, but he hope i find someone soon. how nice, eh? then i started talking to this really pretty girl. im like, do you want to go in the pit? shes like, yes! i want to go soo badly! i told her that security guard looks soo easy to pass by, but both of us were scared to get caught. hahhahaa we ended up getting split, which wsa good, because jenny and oliver found a way in the pit! that was sooooo amazing! haha they used the elevator. duhh. we're all retards. hahah so we use the elevator, and oliver sent us to the wrong one, so me, channing and byran ended up going back to the first floor, which made no sense at all. haha. then we went back up and told oliver it was the wrong elevator, it made no sense. so he took us to the other side of the building. haha there, we used the elevator, and sure enough, it took us to the first floor, on the other side of the security guards to get into the pit. wow! haha.
im so excited as hell to see mcr! i get in the pit floor, and start running into the pit to get to the front. i told channing to hold on to me, but he let go. surely, i did get very close. like, second row fron the front. the crowd was REALLY harsh though! and really hard to breathe! so i had to get out. it felt as if i was to die. so im trying to get out, but get my way on the other side of the pit at the same time. wasnt working...at all. i kept saying, i need to get out. this one cute guy was like, "you wanna get up or out?" since i heard up, i thought he meant up closer to the front. so i say up. then hes like, "wait wait. hold up. you wanna go up or out? becuase the only way you can get out is up." and im like, fuck. hahah. so i said up, since it was easier to get out. he told me to put my knee in his hands, and hold his shoulder. he was super cool with it. then im like, crowd surfing. it was a first time experience too! then MY AMERICAN HEART performed!!!!!!!! i was so tired, yet all happy becuase i saw larry! haha. i tried to get o the acoustic side and i did. but for some reason i was feeling really strange. then my ankle snapped or something. i couldnt move my right leg at ALL. it was frozen or something. then i just stood there, trying to unfreeze it. i guess it was the muscles in my shin that got pulled. that REALLY hurt like a mother fucka. hhaa so i kept walking back and forth, and getting tired.
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE finally comes out! i get super super excited! im not even in the pit. im like, out side of the pit. and i try to get in, but the crowd was harsh like never fuckin before! im serious! im trying to get in, and like, the crownd pushes me down and ahh, it was just crazy! i never got into the performance bacuase the crowd was too much to handle for me. i just kept walking abak and forth. i did see some dancing going on onstange. that was pretty neat. when they played the ghost of you, gerards like, "i'd like to see your fucking cellphone ups in the air." it looks really awesome. the last song they played was helena, and that song, i absolutely love live. that ws the only song i participated in, and had a pretty swell time. for some strange, but cool reason, i started to get squished to the front. MCR had already been done playing, and BLEED THE DREAM performs on the acoustic stage. they were neat. and i was talking to this random girl next to me and we helped eachother get closer to the front. i ended up going to the front alone. i was SECOND ROW FROM THE FRONT, YO! i'm sooooo good. hahahhahahah
and the headlining band THE USED! finally comes on!!!!!! i was more excited for the used than MCR becuase ive seen mcr three times including this event. and the used...? MY FIRST TIME! oh how well they put on a performance! they put on such an awesome show. i dont know, you have to expeirence it to understand. but dude man, they made my whole night. better. berts like, "WOULD YOU TAKE PAIN FOR THE USED? WOULD YOU DIE FOR THE USED?...... WOULD YOU TAKE A FUCKIN BULLET FOR THE USED?!?!?!?" of course, everybody screamed their asses off. it was sooo funny becuase when bert said about takinga bullet for the used, this guy behind me is like, "okay, now you're going too far!" LMAO hahahhahaha. that cracked me up soooo hard. they played numorous songs from the new album and the old album. gotta love the old stuff! while they were playing, i had this huge as cramp! it was hurting my sad sooo bad i needed to crunch together to hold the pain in. but im having my hands up, jumping, and screaming my ass off taking the pain, beucase its worth it. hahha im still alive, so its okay to take pain for the used. hahhaha if i remember, they played, take it away, i caught fire, listening, sound effects and overdramatics, im a fake, taste of ink, box full of sharp objects, and noise and kisses. soo awesome i have to say. it was funny when berts singing noise and kisses and he stops after "on my own..." for a GOO minute or so. hes just standing there staring at the crowd, and all the crowd does was scream. it was funny. then bert says he wants to see a wave. not just any wave, a middle finger wave. it started from the back and went its way towards the stage. it was pretty sweet.
then the lights turn off to a sort of midnight blue shades. you can see them put the drumset out, getting ready for the awesome encore of UNDER PRESSURE. wow! it was amazing. i had a perfectly good view of mikey. hahah and he had a star shaped tambourine. that was really cute. PEOPLE SAW GERARD AND BERT KISS. i saw nothing. man! hahahah. i wanted to see. so they put an really awesome encore. i loved it. expecially when i knew the lyrics to sing with. hahaha. right after the song ended, and they all got off stage, the regular lights turned on, and everyone had to leave. everyne was looking for their shoes and stuff. i had to find my slippers becuase they fell off. hha i found one and the other pair i picked up ended up not being my pair. oops. michelle found her shoes. hhah she was wearing some unknown persons shoe the whole time. thats sooo funny!
so we walk out of the doors, hanging out for a bit. and we started talking and stuff. it was funny becuase hakon said that he saw me and michelle braggin the security guards. he said he also tried to distract the guard, but the guard asked to see hakons wristband. hakon showed the wristband that was already there from something else, and he covered it up again with his jacket. then he said the guard asked to see it again, and hakon too off. lmao.thats hilarious. so we finally started our way home. jenney wanted to buy a saosin shirt, and i wanted to buy the revenge hoddie, and some merchandise. i didnt know where they sold mcr merchandise. i found sense fail stuff, but wasnt liking the design. i saw saosin, but didnt feel like buy any. i saw the used, but i dndt want to wait in the fat long line. haha so i just left, waitng outside for them. turns out, they were already at the car! so i walk to the car, and we started talkign about the concert a bit more. hahha since there was one one car, and 8 people, we had to have two shifts. i was on the first shift, wishing i was on the second one. hakon borrowed my phone since channing , hakon and johnny was on the second shift, and they had no phone. so we left, and im alseep in the car. i wake up because michelle hands me a phone, i dont even know, and was about to hang up. shes like, no dont. its your sisters. damn sisters. whyd you call me for? hahahah. so after allt hat, im finally home. or say the shop. and my mom was at home, which means i couldve gone to the second shift, and still had my sisters phone. damn.
i wish i was on the second shift, and told whoever i was to take the second trip home with to walk to the tour busses, beucase im pretty sure they were gonna come out. turns out, gerard did, ray, bob, MIKEY! from MCR. brandon and jepha, quinn from the used. i got soooooo depressed after i had found out beucase i had help from david, johnny an hakon make me this mcr sticker i wanted to give them. too late. now i have to give it to them at warped tour. i hope warped wont be soo bad since mcr has this HUGE fandom coming on to them.
