Prologue

“What are you thinking so hard?” A lanky guy approached his friend who was standing by the steel fence of the rooftop.

“Nothing. I was just thinking of my future, my dreams.” He put his chin on his crossed arm.

“I wonder what Yama-chan’s dream is,” a shorter guy came to them. He stood beside the one called Yama-chan.

The so-called Yama-chan or full named was Yamada Ryosuke raised his head. “I want to have a strawberry picnic where I can eat strawberries until I feel like puking, of course, with a girl!”

“Just that? I thought it would be something more impressive.” It was the fight-starter Morimoto Ryutaro. He was playing with his lappy.

“Then what about yours?” Again, the tall was asking.

“Playing game with a girl.”

“Oh, I wonder what’s so great, but it turned to be just THAT. How pathetic!”

“Yuto, instead of humiliating others, why don’t you tell us yours?” A reading guy nearby warned the tall guy who’s named was Nakajima Yuto.

“Okay, okay. My dream. Um…What is my dream?” he thought for awhile. “Oh, I want to be looked up by girls as a cool guy, the dashing prince charming type guy. How lovely.”

“Enough of daydreaming!” Ryosuke stopped him. “Ne, Chii, I wonder what’s yours,” he asked the smaller guy beside him whose full name was Chinen Yuri.

“I...” he paused. “I really want to be an accountant, with a girl as my P.A. That was my dream since I was a little kid.”

“Is it possible? You never pass your Math test,” it was Yuto again. He tended to be very straightforward that sometimes his words hurt others.

“Can you just shut up your mouth? Or you want me to shut it for you?” Keito - full name Okamoto Keito - the unofficial leader of Heisei 7 warned his best friend again. It was named like that since 7 Heisei era kids were the member of the group before Takahata Misaki and Nakayama Yuma transferred school.

“Okay, I’ll shut up if only you will tell us yours.” Yuto ignored Keito’s warn. Instead he urged the most intelligent and the most secretive among them to reveal his dream.

“I wonder what is feeling of consulting a girl under rain.”

“Under rain?” Yuri turned at Keito. “What a weird dream.” He commented and looked back to the under-construction building opposite him. “I wonder what it was for,” he whispered.

“So, the conclusion is all of us want girls!” Yuto summarized their dreams.

“As long as we’re here, it’s impossible,” Keito responded in a cold tone.

“But, I really want to have one before leaving high school,” Ryosuke protested.

“I’ve an idea,” Yuri said suddenly.

“What is it?”

“What if I be the girl?” Four pairs of eyes stared at him. He grinned. “Is it wrong?” he asked dumbly.

“Of course is it,” Yuto smacked Yuri’s head.

“You’re not having a fever,” Keito put the back of his palm on Yuri’s forehead. Then he left with Yuto.

“If you’re the girl, then I’ll rather be single forever,” Ryutaro muttered and he left too.

“What do you think about it, Yama-chan?” Yuri asked him when it was just two of them left.

“It was the stupidest idea I ever heard.” Yuri giggled.

“But you know, if you are really a girl, maybe I’ll fall for you,” he added.

“For real?”

“Just kidding”

Arioka Daiki was standing in front of a closed door labeled ‘Best Nerdy Club’. He was hesitated to knock on the door.

*Flashback

“Hey, what club are you joining?” A group of freshmen students were chatting about which club they should take.

“Art Club”

“Me, joining Music Club”

“I’m joining Soccer Club”

“Hey guys, which club you think is most suitable for him?” the guy pointed at Daiki.

“There’s only one club” he paused. “The ‘Best Nerdy Club’” The others cheered.

*End flashback.

Daiki looked at the door once again. He was about to knock the door when suddenly it opened. A guy approximately 173 cm was standing at the door looking at him thoroughly.

“Yabu-kun, someone’s here. Perhaps he wants to see you.”

“Ask him to come in.”

Daiki stepped into the room slowly. There were four guys in the room. All of them were wearing similar rounded glasses which made them looked so nerd.

A brown hair guy approached him. “Welcome to our club, the best club in this university. I’ll introduce you to the members. I’m the secretary, Takaki Yuya, taking Interior Designing Course, Year Three and special skill is arts.”

“He is the treasurer,” Yuya pointed at a guy with lappy and a bit curly hair. “Inoo Kei, Year Two of Architecture Course and the number geek.”

“The one you meet at the door is Yaotome Hikaru, the vice-president,” Yuya pointed at Hikaru who was standing near the door. “He also a second-year taking up Pharmacy and was very fond to Chemistry.”

“And finally, Yabu Kota-kun, the president of this club, Third Year of Law course and he is the university best debater.” Yuya pointed at tall guy who was sitting on a couch.

“Okay, now I’ll tell you the club’s rule,” Yabu Kota stood up. Suddenly a knock was heard. “Hika, look who is coming.”

Hikaru opened the door, “Two girls.”

“Tell them that this club is only for BOYS!” Kota ordered him.

“So, it was the first rule - an all-boy club,” he told Daiki.

“Second is this glasses. It is our identity. Whoever joins the club must wear it. Understand?” Daiki nodded.

“Now, introduce yourself. Make sure you have a niche subject too,” the silent Inoo Kei asked Daiki.

“I am Arioka Daiki, freshmen taking Medic course and master of Human Anatomy.”

Midori high school, principal office.

“Are you sure that this decision won’t affect our reputation?” The Senior Assistant in Academic asked the Principal. He was worried with the principal’s sudden idea.

“I’m very sure of it. Don’t worry. I know this school needs a transformation.”
