Dream 14
Yuto dunked the ball. He threw it into the basket. Again, it was a success for him. He was alone; playing the basketball, but not alone of coming there; the Midori Sport Complex. Blessed with the tallness, he could play it well.
“Well done, Yuto!” A girl clapped her hand as Yuto walked towards her.
“Seriously, a bit more effort, you can represent the school,” she handed him the towel and mineral water.
“I have said it before, didn’t I?” he tilted his head to look at the girl’s face before looking back to where he was before. “I’m not interested, full stop!”
Yuto was not interested in it for he had given his heart and soul to archery and horse riding; the nature of him of loving challenge in tranquil manner.
“So, you never have any plan of improving basketball or … simply anything related to it?”
“Yume, can we close that story?” Yuto begged.
“Okay, okay,” Yume agreed. “Then, why out of sudden you want to see me today?”
“Can’t I?”
“No, it’s not that. It’s just that … I’m curious,”
“Nothing really, we haven’t meet for quite a time,” Yuto was staring at a invisible thing, perhaps his memories. “So maybe because … I miss you?” he turned to the girl who started to blush.
“Nonsense,”
“How come I never know that you are studying here as well?” Yuto complained.
“How will you find, if everyday you just messing around,” the girl exclaimed. She poked his waist but no response she got.
“Hey, what with you?” she whacked him as she noticed Yuto did not pay attention to her.
“Why your afferent neurone is so slow? Or does your interneurone failed to connect it?” she flooded him with question. Still no response, finally Yume made a conclusion herself, “Maybe your efferent neurone lost in its pathway.” She sighed.
“Aa…aa…what did you say just now?” Yuto who was just being thrown out his imagination asked Yume.
“Nothing really. It getting dark, let’s go!” she yanked his hand as they stood up.
“Itai!”
“You deserved it, for ignoring me!”
“Gomen, gomen!” Yuto bowed. “Let me go, please,” he begged.
* afferent neurone - also known as sensory neurone, has longer dendron compared to axon. Its function is to transmit impulses to the central nervous system.
* efferent neurone - also known as motor neurone, has longer axon sompared to dendron. Its function is to transmit interpreted impulses to effector.
* interneurone - connect the afferent and efferent neurone, consist only of cell body and located in the central nervous system.
Extra :
* central nervous system - consist of the brain and the spinal cord, place where the information is processed.
* axon - transmit impulses to the dendron
* dendron - receive impulses from axon.
In short the pathway of impulses is from afferent neurone --> interneurone --> efferent neurone and is from axon à the dendron. [sorry if it sounds like a biology class XD]

“I’m tired of it. Seriously, I’m tired,” Mayuko sighed heavily.
“Come on, you can always tell me anything. And I’ll always listen to you even if it takes forever to finish,”
“You know, right, that I’m suffering from a great pressure?”
Keito nodded. He looked thoroughly on the girl’s gloomy face.
“Being a genius is no good after all,” she sighed again.
“What are you saying? You should be grateful of what you have. A lot of people dream for it but they never got,”
“It was not that easy,” she took a deep breathe.
“My parents discovered that I’m a genius child when I was three. Knowing that, they sent me to school at 4 years old to study in the second grade. When I looked back at the old picture, I noticed that I was so small back then. I was never being bullied since the teachers protected me.
But I was much lonely since I spent most of my free time in the teachers’ room, studying and studying all the time. I never had enjoyed my childhood like other,”
Keito noticed that tears started to roll over her cheek. He wiped it with his thumb.
“You couldn’t blame them. All parents only want the best for their child,”
“I can accept it. I can accept the fact that I entered middle school at 9 and graduated high school at 14. Although I’ll be the youngest forever in my batch, I don’t care of it. Even if I don’t have any memories of high school teenagers, it’s alright.
The only thing that I can’t accept is the fact that I’ll be married to someone before I’m turning 20,”
Keito was jerked. Get married?
“Maybe you can talk to them, discuss properly and tell them that you need your life to,” His voice changed a bit but he tried to cover it so not be very obvious.
“I’ve tried to. I even knelt down to them. But they never consider my feeling,”
“Ano..by the way, why do you got engaged to him?” Keito referred to Yabu.
“They were grateful of them. His family helped our business once,” Mayuko sighed.
“I just found out when I was in my last year of high school. For the sake of my parents, I accept it full-heartedly. That time I was too dumb to realise anything.
Then, they enrolled me here, so I’ll be closer to him. I tried to build my love for him and finally I managed to do it. As the time passed, the way he treated me was still the same. He never showed the effort of loving me back, or that he was trying to accept me as his fiancée. He’s too selfish. All he thinks was his own life.
Seriously, I can’t stand it anymore. Thinking of it tensed me up. Lately, my grades had dropped quite much. I’m lost now, I feel like giving up,” she covered her face with both her palm and cried.
“No, you can’t,” Keito pulled her head so it leant on his shoulder. “Remember, anything happens, life must go on. If you give up, nothing good will happen.
And don’t forget that I’ll be by your side forever,” Keito fondled her hair softly
They witnessed the sunset from the highest region of the Midori Garden while sitting next to each other with both knees folded near the chests. [I know I failed at describing this XD]
From far - not really far tough - a pair of eyes were fixed on them!

“Hi!” Ryosuke looked up to the voice. It was a girl - Rhea.
“Hi! How are you?” he greeted back to her. Well, it was a usual anyway. You couldn’t be too cold sometime, weren’t you?
Rhea, who secretly admired him, broadened her smile. She somehow felt proud that she got the chance to be ‘Hi!-ed’ by him - who well-known for his so uncool treatment towards girls.
“I’m fine. You?”
“Same with you,” To be truth, Ryosuke was not really paying much attention to her, just Rhea who dreamt too much - poor her!
“Have you received the letter?” it supposed to be her main topic.
Ryosuke nodded. Awkwardness floated between them for minutes before Ryosuke decided to start a move.
“Oh, and tell her that she’s forgiven,” he left the messaged before vanishing from Rhea’s sight.
Rhea grinned - a little evilness was carved on - as only she knew the truth behind the letter!
