Dream 20
“Yume, how am I tonight? Do I look gorgeous?” Chihara asked her best friend as she looked into her image in the big mirror. She was wearing a silky black long dress with a fluffy thingy around her neck and a Western-like hat that she almost resembled a European lady.
Yume was speechless as she realised how elegant her friend was. She showed two thumbs up at her indicating how good it was. As for her, she was wrapped in a red knee-length dress with an almost-ballet-like on the lower part. She matched it with a black legging that showed the silhouette of her leg.
Both of them, wearing a two and half inch high heels walked side by side to the Midori Main Hall for the dinner party. Following them was Haruka who dressed herself in a simple blue prom dress.
As they reached the hall, Chihara felt weird as no light was switched on. Nobody was seen around too. She took a glance on her watch - it was 10 minutes to 8.
‘Perhaps they are dressing up themselves. They’ll come later,’ Chihara tried to calm down herself.
The trio stepped inside the hall, clicking on the switch to reveal the well-decorated hall for the party. The food, located at the left side was already prepared in buffet style. The main stage glittered of the shining flowering wallpaper. On the right side was the Master of Ceremony chair. A karaoke set was provided there too.
Chihara took a deep relieved breath. It was all her hard work with Yume and Haruka. Mayuko, Haruka’s friend did come too. Reiko, who was once her roommate, lent her hand too for the project dragging Rui along who grabbed on Machiko who brought Hikari in.
Chihara smiled as the funny lovely scene was playing in her eyes. From there she learnt how important a friend was and how the friendship developed from such silly actions. She remembered clearly when they fought over how the chair should be arranged, what food should be ordered till the topic of what colour should they dressed. She would not forget how interesting watching Hikari teased Machiko of her slow work and how funny Mayuko when she freaked out as Haruka poked her. Oh, not to forget too of how Rui would shiver whenever Reiko yelled at her and Yume would smile from ear-to-ear looking at university students acted out like kindergarten kids.
“Chihara, I’m sorry for being late,” Mayuko greeted her, cutting off her train of thought. Chihara looked at her watch which told her that it was already 20 minutes past 8.
“Yosh, I guess I daydream too much,” Chihara muttered.
“Nobody had come yet?” Yume asked her.
Chihara shrugged her shoulder. “Seems like that.” She sighed.
“Haruka, you had paste the advertisement on the notice board, hadn’t you?”
“Yep, I have,” Haruka came nearer and nodded.
“Then, why nobody came?”
“I’m sorry, Chihara. I could not come to your party. Reiko and I have a photograph camp,” Rui came, bowing at her - a week ago.
“Chihara, we don’t think we can make it. We have a trip,” Chihara remembered how guilty was painted on both Machiko and Hikari’s faces as they could not present on her program.
“But, we will help you with the preparation. We promise,”
Half an hour passed and now it was nearly ten.
Chihara looked at Haruka and Mayuko who already slept on the chairs. She turned to Yume who was trying to open her eyes tough the possibility of failure was bigger than success. She sighed again - perhaps for the hundredth times. Somehow she felt pity for them for dragging them together into her failed project.
‘Believe me, you won’t ever success!’
Suddenly it popped up in Chihara’s mind.
“Don’t tell me…it was…his doing…” Chihara did not want to admit the fact that her masterpiece was ruined by a person she had fallen for. But, she could only wish for it as someone was coming in.
“So, how’s your dinner party? Fun, isn’t it?” A guy with the most evil grin approached her. His black attire made him looked exactly like a vampire.
“So, my guessing is true. You are behind all of this!” Chihara could not help to not yell at him which eventually awoken the others.
“I told you already. So, it was not my fault.” Hikaru smirked at her. “It’s just you that are so stubborn!”
Hikaru did not realised that tears slowly rolling down her cheek - if he did notice, he would only ignore it too!
Chihara felt like a sharp sword stabbing her heart. She did not dare to face Hikaru anymore. Tears rolled down faster as she ran out of the hall.
“Chihara!” Yume, Haruka and Mayuko called her in chorus. The gutless Hikaru just smirked as he looked her lost form his sight.
Upon reaching her room, she threw herself on her cosy bed, covering her face with a pillow and crying out loud till she finally felt asleep.
The next day, she woke up still in that dress with a gloomy face and swollen eyes just to find Yume was sleeping in a sitting posture beside her while Mayuko and Haruka were lying on the floor beside her bed. Again, her dam broke down and she cried. She felt so much appreciated and finally understood how meaningful a friendship could be. Somehow she felt guilty for troubling her friends too much.
“So, you already wake up?” Yume asked as she was rubbing her eyes. She yawned. Before she could do anything, Chihara already hugged her.
“Thank you for being my friends,” she sobbed. “Thank you very much. Thank you.”
Yume slowly patted Chihara’s back while the other two just awaken girls looked at them, smiling.

Luisa took a deep breath and looked around. She took another breath and released it. She loved it, the place, the scenery, the scent and everything of it. She often went there, the lovely tranquil park if she got nothing to do. Of course alone - like she had anybody to go to with!
That morning, very early in the morning, it was only 7.00 a.m. Even the sun had not fully risen yet. She went there as usual - as it was her morning recital - to breathe some fresh air.
As she was drowning herself in the calmness of nature, she heard a sobbing voice. Searching of it, finally she met a girl who was sitting with face hidden in the two upward-knees.
“Here,” Luisa handed her a piece of tissue. As approaching her nearer, Luisa got to see her face which belonged to someone she known well.
“Shizuka?” Luisa said the name. “What happen?”
Shizuka leaned her face on Luisa’s shoulder. Still sobbing, she told her the story.
“My friend…Rhea…she left me…because…she was jealous…that…Yamada paid attention to….me. She said that...now onwards...we are...rivals, not friend...anymore..,” Shizuka sobbed.
“I have nobody else here,”
“Enough, don’t say tha anymoret. I’m here, always be with you,” Luisa hugged her.
A/N : I'm sorry, I'm not very good in manipulating emotion XD. Forgive me, ne~ Anyway, Hikaru so evil me too *evil grin* And pity Shizuka~~ Chihara and Shizuka, I hope you like it. If not, gomen ne~
As always, comments are much appreciated~~
Just now, I did a rough check on the entry and I just noticed that I randomly reply for comments. Sorry guys, perhaps I overlook it *bow* From now onwards I'll try to reply for each comment. Sorry, ne ^^
Note: I forgot to tell you in the previous chapter. If you notice, at first I used 'Shizu' as Haruka's nickname that given by Daiki. But then I changed it to 'Ruka' to avoid confused between her and Shizuka. So, from now on, I'll use Ruka (and the previous chapter has been edited too), just like Yuko for Mayuko.
