So, will they reach for their dreams as the obstacles keep coming up?

Dream 21

Kota was having a meeting with the university debater team. Since he mastered the technique already, he was asked to give a brief talk about debate.

“Good morning and welcome to our team,” Kota started his speech. “I am the leader of this team and the senior-most. If you have any question, just ask.”

He looked at his team member one-by-one. Unknown for what reason, his eyes stuck longer on Hikari than anyone. Hikari, on the other hand, was sketching something on a piece of paper that she did not notice the glance.

“Debate is not hard. To be honest, it is very easy,” Kota continued.

“Everything for you is E-A-S-Y,” a boy claimed. He had been in the team for two years and knew well of Kota’s attitude.

“Yup, everything is E-A-S-Y because it is what we think. If we find it hard, then it’ll be hard. Thus always put your mindset on positive side. Remember, we are what we think!”

The boy nodded, agreeing with Kota. Kota was always like that, highly-motivated.

He’s not that mean, but why he always acting like one? Hikari, the only girl in the team, thought.

“Okay, let’s proceed,”

“To be truth debate is manipulating skill. The most important are the face expression, body language, eye contact - try to stare at the opposition as much as you can and twisting word skill. It was all psychological and mentally war. If you don’t have much idea, but you have the ability of twisting words, then you can easily win,”

“I have a question,” Hikari raised her hand. “What about the evidence such as news report, statistics, pictures and etc? How much we need?”

“Good question,”

Why I feel more comfortable with Hikari around than Mayuko?

“Basically, evidences are very important as they support the main idea. With them, the opposition cannot deny the fact we are up to.

The idea of debate is to ‘approve’ on one’s idea. So, basically it is just words-twisting and ideas-stressing. Easy, isn’t it?” Again, Kota stressed on the words-twisting.

The others nodded.

Oh man, he’s so love twisting! Shall I call him…, Yabu The Twister?

***********

“Hey, where’s my bedtime story? I remember putting it here, last night,” Kota nagged as he was searching for something. “Have you seen it, Hika?”

“How should I know?” Hikaru lifted his shoulder. “Since when did you read one?”

“I mean my History textbook,” he fumbled everywhere - on the table, under the bed, in the cupboard and even in the bathroom, who knows that he left it there - but useless.

“History textbook = bedtime story?” Hikaru took off his earphone after listening for the tenth time of his composed song - Ice-cream - to make sure nothing gone wrong. Then, he was preparing to go to sleep too.

“It does work. You should try it too,” Kota told him as he found the book under his pillow - why didn’t he check there in the first place?

“Oyasumi,” Kota climbed his bed and put on the blanket with the book in his hand.

“Hey, I’m not an Art student like you and I’m not taking History!” Hikaru yelled.

“Oh crap, I forget. Sorry,”

“By the way, Biology can be a good bedtime story too,” Hikaru grabbed his Biology textbook and went to bed - of course not wanting to lose to his biggest rival in everything, Kota!

Minutes later, the two friends were in their beds - which were next to each other - staring at the ceiling with the books in their hands!

“Hey, what are you thinking?” Kota whispered. “Tell me!”

“Nothing,” Hikaru looked at the cover of the book but his mind was absolutely not there.

Why do I have this instinct…that she is….actually nice? She…what’s her name?

Oh, Chihara! Pretty nice name, by the way. When you look closer at her, you will find her cute. Well, a cute tigress! Hikaru monologued alone.

Hikari! Why do we somehow have…. chemistry? Yeah, I admit, I’m more comfortable with you than Yuko. Why? Is that what you call true love? Kota was treating his imagination.

Finally both of them fell asleep with the so-called ‘bedtime story’ were still closed untouched!

**********

The next day.

It was the last day before summer break started. The students had no class. They were asked to clean their classrooms as they were going to leave them for about two months. Instead of cleaning, the students were busy exchanging phone number, e-mail addresses and so on. The class was in big mess and loud chattered sound could be heard everywhere.

By 12.00 p.m., the students were allowed to go back to their dormitory to pack their things and clean their rooms - which was 2 hours earlier than normal school day. But no difference from the class, the dorms looked like a hijacked ship - with books, clothes and towels scattered everywhere. A complete eye sore!

Yuto entered his room happily humming his favourite melody.

“Can’t wait to see your mom?” Keito asked him.

“Aren’t you the papa-boy?” he asked back. Keito pouted and continued his packing back.

“He got her phone number. That why he’s so happy!” Yuri announced as he came together with Yuto.

“Can’t you keep it a secret?” Yuto looked at him - mad!

“Why can’t we know? We’re friends, aren’t we?” Ryosuke repeated Yuto’s phrase (refer dream 12)

“Who said?” And Yuto copied Ryosuke’s word.

“You!”

“Hey, Ryu! Why are you smiling out of blue?” Yuri asked Ryutaro who smiled suddenly as he listened to the ‘friendship-quarrel’.

“I know you must have got ‘her’ number too, right?” Yuri answered his question back. Noticing that Ryutaro was blushing, he assumed that he was right.

“Keep busy bodying with others’, how about you?” Keito asked him. As for him, he had promised Mayuko to meet her someday.

“Unless miracle happens, it’s impossible,”

“Whatever,”

“Minna, let’s go! I’m finished,” Ryosuke claimed as he took his luggage. Since they could choose their dorm, the members of 7 were placed in a same room - which was well-known for its messiness and havoc-ness.

“Well, I go first. Someone’s waiting!”

“Who’s that, Ryutaro?”

“Don’t think nonsense! He’s Dai-chan, my neighbour. Jaa~” And Ryutaro ran out the room quickly.

A/N: Lovely YabuHika moments~~~

Okay, now this story already in the second half, I'm planning to finish it in around 20 more chapters. For more less 10 next chapters, it'll be about their summer break stories. Each OC will have their own story with their HSJ boy. And also I do find this chapter much lighter. But, beware since upcoming chapter will be 'heavier' ^^!

So wait! And yeah, I'm the twister~~! But I'm not twisting here!!!

And I'll be busier each day, so update will be slower. Anyway by hook or by crook, I'll try to update at least once a week. So, wait ne~~ Sorry for taking time ^^ blah, what am I saying? yosh, I messed up everything

Anyhow, comments are welcome~~
