Dream 31

“I’m really sorry, but somehow I feel like spending this time with you,” Rhea started the conversation while they strolling around for fresh air. Ryosuke remained silent, allowing her to continue talking. “I have been wanted to meet you, dreaming for this time to come, and suddenly it happens by coincidence. Don’t you think it is a fate?” she asked.

What’s with this girl? Ryosuke started to feel the uneasiness especially when Rhea tried to cling on his arm. Gently, he released her grab.

The atmosphere became awkward for a while before Rhea continued her talk.

“I don’t know why but I have feeling that this is our last meting,”

“Why do you feel like that?” Ryosuke asked. He could not stand her flirty act anymore.

“Well, perhaps we’ll meet later…but not like this,” she looked into Ryosuke’s eyes.

“I understand…but, why?”

“I…”

Mori Resident again…

“Shizuka, take this to the kitchen,” Mrs. Mori ordered. “After that, bring the coffee here,”

“Yes, mom. I’m coming,” Seconds later, Shizuka came. She held the tray of dishes to the kitchen carefully. Then, she came back with a clean tray of coffee.

“Is there anything else?”

“Nothing for now, you can go rest,” her mom smiled. Yatta!

But Shizuka did not head to her room. She tiptoed to the back door and slowly sneaked out of the house without being noticed.

“Oh God, I’m 30 minutes late!” She rushed to the café. Upon reaching, she searched for Ryosuke but he was nowhere to be found.

After sitting on a two-chaired table, she took out her phone and started dialing the correct number - Ryosuke’s.

“Hello. I’m sorry for being late. Where are you?”

“Why don’t you turn 90o clockwise?”

She did as the person instructed to find the receiver was standing by the door - alone!

Slowly he approached her and occupied the seat directly in front of her.

“So yeah, let’s eat!”

“What do you want?”

“Well, you promise me a strawberry cake,” Ryosuke did a puppy eye, but Shizuka did not notice it.

“Okay then, waiter!” Shizuka called a waiter nearby and placed her order.

“You sure love cakes so much,” Shizuka complained as she turned back to Ryosuke.

“Why? Is it wrong?”

“No, not wrong, just not good,” she leaned to her chair while looking straight to Ryosuke. “Well, cakes made up of saturated fat which is high in cholesterol. So it is risky to consume it in large quantity. Remember the food pyramid?”

Ryosuke nodded. “Then, you should follow it!”

“Fine, but fat must be consumed too,” Ryosuke tried to stress the right of his interest.

“That’s right. But we have alternative. Try consuming unsaturated fat. It’s better for health,” Again, Ryosuke seemed lost.

“Anyway, Miss Doctor-to-be, shall we stop it now?” Ryosuke moved his face closer to her. “He’s coming,” he pointed to the waiter who was carrying a tray of strawberry cakes.

“Alright,” Shizuka agreed, not wanting to continue the argument. “But, I’m not doctor-to-be,”

“Then…what? A housewife-to-be?”

“Thank you,” Shizuka thanked the waiter as he placed the dishes in front of them before rounded her eyes to Ryosuke.

As Shizuka took a sip of her drink, Ryosuke took a full glance of her. I know I’m sure with my feeling.

* saturated fat - contain no double bond between carbon-carbon atom. Thus, it has the maximum number of hydrogen atom. Usually solid at room temperature. Example: butter.

* unsaturated fat - contain at least one double bond between carbon-carbon atom. Thus, the number of hydrogen atom in the molecule is less and hence has lower cholesterol content. Usually liquid at room temperature. Example : palm oil. And olive oil is well-known as the best oil/fat.

* animal fat contain LDL (low density lipid) which can cause plaque deposit on the wall of blood capillaries (veins and arteries) and eventually lead to heart attack. Animal fat usually is saturated.

* plant fat contain HDL (high density lipid) that can reduce deposit of fat in artery. Plant fat usually is unsaturated.

We are advised to consume more HDL/plant fat (oil) than LDL/animal fat.

Spot the difference..hehe..^_^. Basically this is not fat, it is a carboxylic acid (with the -COOH group).

***************

Someday later…

Both Daiki and Ryutaro were walking together. They were chatting happily of various topics say school, homework, siblings and such till the topic of girlfriend.

“Ryu, you got a girlfriend, aren’t you?” Daiki asked suddenly.

“I’m not,” Ryutaro denied.

“Then, that girl?”

“Who?” Ryutaro frowned, thinking. After a while, he continued, “You mean that gadget maniac girl?”

“Em, who else?”

“She’s just a friend, not more,” But why do I have this weird feeling inside? “You know right, about that tragedy. I’m trauma.”

“That’s why you have to find someone, so you’ll forget it,” Daiki advised him.

“But the problem is she reminds me of the late her. Both got same traits,” he sighed.

“There’re much more flower outside, go find one!”

“Why don’t you try first?” Ryutaro asked Daiki back. He kept forcing me, and he himself had got one too! Huh!

“Huh?” Daiki pretended to not understand.

“I mean you. You’re single too, right?”

“Well, single…but not available!” Daiki chuckled. Huh, flirty boy!

Soon, a girl came. She was none other than Haruka.

“We had just talked about you,” Ryutaro told her.

“Eh? About what? Taking bad about me, aren’t you?”

“Nope, we didn’t. Don’t believe him. He loves to lie,” Daiki tried to hide his uneasiness.

Ryu, better watch your word or I’ll smack you.

I will, but you better be honest or I’ll tell her myself.

Dare to try and you’ll know what happen!

“Ruka, let’s go!”

“Eh? Where?”

“Anywhere you like,”

As Daiki left, Ryutaro smirked. “So, you are a coward?” Then, he burst into laugh.

“Are you insane? Laughing alone,” A familiar voice came from behind.

Don’t tell me she is…. He turned back just to make sure his thought was right. Miki was standing right behind him.

“I want to show you something,” she answered without being asked. Well, she already understood Ryutaro’s face language.

“Gadget again?” She nodded.

Gosh, definitely gadget maniac!
