Dream 39
A week later…
Rhea came back - with only a small luggage with her. She went straightly to the administrator office. Her friends looked at her confusedly, but just let her be.
In the administrator office…
“Good morning, sir,”
“Morning. Have a seat,”
“So, how is it, sir? Is it approved?”
“Since your grades for each term is good, we can proceed easily. And of course, we’ve prepared all the documents,” the principal took out a clear file.
“But, sir. I haven’t attended classes for this term yet. So, how possible for me to have a good grade?” Rhea asked confusedly. She had been hesitated before upon realizing that her absence for the new term would affect her application. However, everything turned out to be working smoothly.
“Well, here is it. Take a look,” he put a piece of paper in front of her.
“Ano…who are the group members?” Well, Rhea knew that they had to do projects, in groups and such. But, she could not believe that she got to be in one too.
“Kaneshiro Yuuki, Kitagawa Luisa , Ashiya Miki,”
Rhea frowned, “But, I don’t know them,”
“Oh, and Mori Shizuka,” the principal leaned back, witnessing the sudden change of Rhea’s face.
Shizuka? She did for me? “Umm…emm…well, if that so, thank you very much,” Rhea grabbed the file, bowed and quickly left the air-conditioned room.

As Chihara was sure of her decision, she went to meet BEST. Upon entering the club’s HQ, she was greeted.
“Hey, Hara!” Hikaru shouted the girl’s name as he saw her.
“Why you keep shortening my name, Karu?” Chihara ‘attacked’ him back, trying to hide her own blush especially when Kota was heading to them.
“Karu? Why so weird?” Kota scratched his head, pretending to think. “Sounds like kangaroo,” he chuckled. He arranged his messed table and took out a file.
“Well, kangaroo is cute. Do you mean that I’m cute?” Hikaru returned the tease and as usual starting to act cute, but Kota had left.
“Stop being childish, kangaroo-kun! I’m not here to play!”
“Okay, okay, Miss Tigress,”
“So, how is it, Chihara-san?”
Chihara was about to start her word when the door was pushed.
“Hika, handle her,” Kota instructed. “I have another Hika to deal with.”
“You mean, Kari-chan?” Hikaru playfully asked.
“I won’t call her like that for it sounds so much like curry. Hikari is just nice…and cute too,” he jumped out of his chair and moved to the door. “And remember, this is a meeting. Not a dating!” With that, he stormed off the room.
“You too. Don’t date!” Hikaru returned his warn.
Outside the room…
“Hikari-chan, sorry for making you wait,”
“It’s fine, Ko-chan,”
Out of blue, Kota leaned his body forward, bringing his face nearer to Hikari’s. Quickly, Hikari pushed him away.
“Not here, Ko-chan. We’re in public,” she whispered.
“Alright. Promise me…we’ll have it later?” Hikari nodded.
“Let’s go!” Kota winked.

On her way back to her class, Rhea met Ryosuke.
“Hi, Rhea!” For the very first time, he called her name. “Here, as I promised,” he handed her a small box tied with a pink ribbon.
But Rhea did not respond - not as what she’ll always do. She froze in her place and looked at the box blankly.
“Why? What happen?” Ryosuke asked. Silence answered him.
Seeing no response, he dragged her to a nearby bench and placed the gift in her palm.
“Do you have any problem? Just tell me, ‘kay? I’m here and I’m willing to listen,” Ryosuke patted her shoulder gently.
Out of sudden, she burst into tears. “I’m the worst! I’m evil! I’m gutless! I’m idiot!” she cursed within her sob.
“Shh! Don’t say such thing,” Ryosuke tried to stop her from such crappy word.
“I’ve done so many wrong towards her. I envied her, I left her, and I made her suffer. I’m selfish, very selfish! And yet, she helped me,” she continued wailing, but more well-mannered.
“Yama-chan,” she raised her head to face Ryosuke. “I’m ashamed of what I’ve done,” she shook his shoulder. “What should I do now?” she begged for a way out.
“Calm down first, Rhea,” he pushed her gently, ensuring a space between them.
“For me, the best solution is to go and find her. You have to face her no matter what. Tell her what you’ve done and ask for forgiveness. I know it was very hard. In fact, apologizing is the hardest thing to do.
But, you have to do. At least give it a try. You don’t want to be in guilty forever, don’t you?”
Rhea shook her head, “But, I’m afraid if she won’t forgive me,” she slowly spoke out her worry.
“It’s fine. At least you’ve try. And you’re no longer being burdened by the guilt of ruining a friendship,” Ryosuke was still not tired of advising her.
Rhea looked at him with watery eyes. She stood up, ready to leave.
“I don’t know why, but I have an instinct telling me that she’ll forgive you,” Ryosuke added. He paused a bit before continued, “Em…do you mind telling me who is she?” he hesitantly asked.
“Emm…umm…she is…Shizuka,” and tears rolled down her cheek again. “Oh, and thank you for this. You’re my friend forever.”
Shizuka?
“Rhea, wait!” Ryosuke stopped her move when she was about to start it.
“Em…?” Rhea turned back. “Anything else?”
It was Ryosuke’s turn to be hesitated. “I’m sorry…umm…I don’t know how to put it in word…but I’ve to tell you. Something regarding the gift,” he pointed to the small box in her hand.
“What is it?”
*flashback*
“Shizu, can you help me?” Ryosuke asked during their nearly-ruined-date. “A friend of me is transferring. I want to give a present, but I don’t know what it should be,” he paused. “Will you help me…perhaps with a handmade gift?”
“Handmade gift…emm…let me see…” Inside, Ryosuke prayed hard that she would not refuse.
“What kind of gift do you want?”
“Anything, as long as it does not burdening you,” he smiled. I know I’ve burdened you by asking it! Sorry, Shizu-chan.
*end flashback*
“So, she made this?” Rhea stunted.
You’re so nice, Shizu. Rhea could not hide her guilty feeling anymore so she excused herself.
“Thank you, Yama-chan…for everything,” and she left quickly.
You deserve him, Shizu. I’m sorry. I promise I won’t butt in your relationship anymore.
A/N : Not much to say except sorry if it is not that impressive >< And I love Karu-chan ^^!
