I saw Courtney Martin speak at St. Mary's last night. She's a feminist journalist/author who wrote a book about young women and body image. I liked her lecture, but it didn't sound like anything I haven't heard before. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had read the book cover to cover before going, but it was the same "rewrite your internal message

this is only to add to what you said...i doubt i'm the only man that does all those things as well, but it's definitely conditioned for women to do it...or maybe it's a different kind of issue when a guy has these "women" issues and not only feels bad about himself but feels bad that he thinks he shouldn't have these kinds of problems. i'm not articulating myself well.

a new motto i've developed that i've yet to fully believe: "If someone doesn't fit me, it's not my problem, it's their problem."

eventually that could be huge for us.
