I went to the market today and ehm for the big city people from whoknowswhere it's an actual old fashioned market we get once a week in the market square. They sell cheese, cloth and sewing gear, vegetables, fish and my favorite little roosters that not only taste good but are relatively cheap.
For myself I tend to only buy one but with about 18 people coming I wanted to have enough so I bought 7...as a side dish. So now I have a fridge filled with chickens. But really, if people like them and they each take a few pieces that soon adds up and I can always give them food to go. I'd much rather have too much than too little. My goal is a mountain of bits of chicken and my goals tend to be attainable.
I'm a simple girl and simple things make me happy. Dark Pink Teakettle, big teapot, big mug, mountain of chicken...see the pattern? *Oink Oink*
Oh and I had a special birthday surprise just now! Not that the guy knew it was my birthday but you gotta love the timing. Crazy nice things happen to me quite a bit. I mentioned the supernice friend of my brother who lend me a huge box of comics a few years back? He is now my postman often (they switch) and lives near my house so we wave. I was still worried about the state I returned his comics in so I didn't place too much faith in him saying he would get me the numbers I hadn't read yet.
Who would keep lending collector's items to a girl who kept your stuff for years and got them all out of order with a big dose of dust and very possibly some folds that weren't there? Comicbook collectors keep their stuff in plastic and read them carefully. I'm not sure how much this guy's stuff is worth but X-men from nr1? Has to be worth something.
Now to get back on track he just came to my door with a box containing 101 to 300 or something (nearly broke my nail lifting that) so WOOHOO! I'll take extra special care of them and keep them in order this time. Such a nice guy which is aided by me loving what he has to offer ofcourse. *wink*
So well that was a pertinently placed gift/lending on my birthday! Oh and it shows not all my simple desires revolve around food, a lot of them revolve around free entertainment and guys in spandex *nodnod*
Well, plus X-men has a decent story and I am willing to put with all that idiotic Wolverine falls for Jean blaghdeblahblagh stuff. It's less prevalent in the comics than the movies. Though Jean Grey is still as Mary Sue as ever.
