There's a cool series available at comiXology called "Lady Mechanica" that is steampunk but not top-heavy. I think they're 3 or 4 issues in. I like it. The art is good, too, if a bit on the "unreasonably busty" side as one would expect. And there's another series called... er..."Carbon Grey" that is really very cool and way less "unreasonably busty." The backstory is a bit hard to follow at times--political thriller--but the concept itself is quite cool. Both highly recommended. There's also a Carbon Grey book of art that is really pretty.
Oo, I shall have to check them out! (I have a high tolerance for unreasonably busty, due to years of comics/manga. It's not a preference though, and I do keep joyfully pointing out to people that Natasha has finally gotten a working zipper for her costume in the new Black Widow comic.)
Unfortunately not - I'll be seeing them closer to the lake they call Michigan. :(
Next time I plan a trip to Capital City, I'll let you know, though - maybe we can meet somewhere! I was supposed to come see a college friend earlier this month, but then WEATHER (and not the Night Vale kind) intervened.
Ugh. WEATHER. And I hear more is on the way this weekend. *massive eyeroll*
Absolutely we should meet up sometime - seems silly not to, close as we are :) Are you coming down for ComiCon next month, perchance? Toying with the idea of taking the kidlets, and doing the Doctor Who cosplay thing.
And YAY for seeing the WtNV show, even if it's in different cities! I am sooooooooooooo excited for it!
Unfortunately, that comic con is the weekend following our inventory, so the day I'm not working, I'll be sleeping. I think you should definitely go, though - it looks promising! Any excuse for Doctor Who cosplay can only be a good time.
