I have such an issue with many, many books like that. I absolutely adored the idea, but the actual book itself? Well. All I can think about is how I could've written it better. Course, I'm also lazy and do not write, so. But I keep reading them in the hope that it'll get better. And it doesn't. Le sigh.

I don't think I read the sequels, let me know how those turned out. Or it's been so long that I've forgotten, wasn't one of them called the Golden Trillium or something?

Golden Trillium, yup! ... I think. That sounds right, anyway.

Actually, there were four sequel books, but I did some research and found that each author went in a different direction with them. I mentioned where May was going with her two, Bradley decided to fast-forward to the next generation, and Norton hyper-focused on the least interesting plot that started in the first book (the middle sister's role with the Folk).

So, yeah, I'm just sticking with May. ^^;;
