I think they are called 'Earpieces.' You can get reasonable Google results on that. Sorta.

The 'temple' because that is usually about where it starts.

It's refered to as the temple here as well (http://www.allynscura.com/faqs.htm) that is an FAQ on vintage eyglass frames and what kind of lenses can be placed in them.

The parent site (http://www.allynscura.com/) is all about vintage glasses.

This place (http://www.alibaba.com/catalogs/361240/Eyeglasses_Parts.html) offers the sale of "temple tips". That is the plastic piece that covers the ends of the temple piece.

If you throw out a Google search for 'eyeglass temple' you get all kinds of results. I found it refered to as such when doing searches for "eyeglass diagram" and "eyeglass parts".
