Be very, VERY careful with that. Front brakes plus rear wheel drive is a recipe for disaster, and it takes a LOT of getting used to. If you can, find a parking lot that hasn't been plowed or salted properly and practice your emergency braking, because if you aren't prepared, you're going to have BAD things happen. You definitely have a good suggetion there. I talked to pirateday last night about taking me out to an abandoned parking lot when it's slick on a weekend. Who knows when that will actually happen, but we've got a plan!
Ugh. My parents had rear-wheel drive when we lived in West Virginia, which gets inches of ice on the roads before the salt trucks can get everywhere. I have memories of riding the one-lane road that winds around a mountain, with no guardrail and a very deep river gorge on the other side.
How's that for a "back in my day" story? LOL!
