40 books in one year... so close!

I really tried to get the 50 books read in one year goal... but yeah, 2009 was pretty busy mostly sucking. (Though, yes, some fabulous things did occur as well. ^^)

So, for nostalgia, I shall list the 40 books I feasted my eyes upon in 2009!

Oh man, the Rose of the Prophet books! I loved those. On the one hand I'm not a big fan of the "I learned about Middle Eastern culture from Wikipedia" sort of setting, but I felt like Matthew was one of the earliest queer characters I remember reading about in fantasy, and more to the point, he's... kind of believable and adorable without being in your face.

Yes, I'm loving this series! I have about 100 pages left of the third book. I hope I like the ending! *Crosses fingers*

I really love the relationship >_< Matthew has over Zohra and Khardan. He is definitely a very believable character... and adorable when he's not whining.
