I know it's been, like, forever and a half and I don't know if some people even remember me or think I'm like dead or something but I miss people and wanna talk about the movies I've seen, so, yeah

Not forgotten, nor thought dead. I've been pretty delinquent from LJ myself, and it seems like a lot of others as well. :(
My family wanted to go see the new Hobbit on Christmas, but there weren't any nearby theaters showing that would take the gift passes we had. And I didn't manage to talk them into seeing Into the Woods, since I've never seen the original and couldn't vouch for it, and they'd never heard of it.
I'm a little worried about the shippiness you mention. I've got a friend with a recently acquired obsession with Lee Pace, and if it's as you say, I fear for her sanity once she sees that movie... (And mine, because I'm sure she'd ship that hard and try to take me with her. lol)
Hey! :) I wouldn't worry too much about shippiness, its not shippy really...it's more that Thranduil seems to treat Bard with a little respect which is more than he does for anyone else ever. Well it's either that or Thranduil thinks he might make a nice pet lol. I just enjoy Tranduil's fabulous condescending self far more than I should. I need to see it again.
The promotion for Into The Woods probably didn't help much either, they really could've done a better with the trailers. Even the clip at the Globes last night. Youtube a scene or two for them? I highly recommend seeing the original regardless, they had to cut a lot of good story (and an entire reprise of the Princes' duet which is criminal I tell you!).
