“You want me to what?”
Sophie turned and looked at Parker, a bit exasperated. “Please, Parker. I can't take it!”
Parker looked down at the pink bottle in her hand, then back at Sophie. “Can't like...Nate do it or something?”
“Since when are you embarrassed with nudity?” Sophie grumbled, itching her back through her shirt.
“Since it's yours,” Parker said. “And you want me to touch you.”
There was a frustrated eye roll. “Honestly! I'm not asking you to have sex with me, I just need some help. You're the only other woman here. Please.”
Parker sighed. “Fine.”
“Thank you!” Sophie spun around, pulling her shirt over her head and tossing it aside. She would never forgive Nate for the last job, and where it took them, and the amount of mosquito bites she got all over her body from it. A tentative finger pressed against her back, and Sophie jumped a bit. “What are you doing?”
“Nothing.” Parker said it quickly. She had only put a dot of calamine lotion on her finger, but then she did a little more and dabbed it at one of the big, red spots. She continued this, making a bit of a face at the happy sounds Sophie was making. “You got bit a lot.”
“Yes, I did.”
“Were you naked or something?”
“Parker.”
“It's only a question.”
“Please, the lotion?”
“Fine.” And Parker continued what she was doing in silence. Sophie just closed her eyes and enjoyed the calming relief the medicine was already bringing to her skin. She had been tense with how much it itched and trying to not scratch, and it was helping her to finally relax. Until Parker spoke again. “I don't think I can...get under your...”
She tugged at Sophie bra strap a bit. Sophie paused for a moment, debating, then sighed and started to slip it off. They both had the same parts after all, and she couldn't reach that spot by herself. She meant to keep her back to Parker, but apparently didn't succeeded in that completely.
“You have big boobs,” she heard over her shoulder.
“Parker!”
“Okay. Lotion,” she grumbled. “I am.”

Lani blinked at her sister. “Did you really just say that?”
Akeelah sighed. “Well there isn't. What am I supposed to do?”
“Stop, Avery! Stoooop!” Kala was laughing as she shouted, stuck somewhere in the couch between the cushions and Avery's ass.
“Just fart on her,” Evie chimed in from the other side of the room. She was pulling a string of hair into her mouth and watching them with bored eyes.
“I swear Matt, if you knew what you were talking about this could actually be a decent conversation,” Bailey said with an eyeroll.
“If I knew? Look who's talking. You-” Matt's reply was drowned out in Kala's screeches.
Ken grabbed the remote and cranked the volume on the sealife special he was watching. “Sssh!”
Akeelah groaned. “Like I said, nothing on.”
“It wouldn't kill you to watch something educational sometimes,” Ken told her over the noise.
“Are you calling me stupid or something?”
“I would never,” he smirked.
“Laniiii, Ken called me stupid!” Akeelah whined.
Lani rubbed her forehead and shook her head as she watched her siblings in their childhood home. “And suddenly I feel like we're all kids again and not grown adults.”

Characters: Parker, Hardison

Words: 373

Author's Note: This is a part of something I'm semi-working on, mostly in my head, in which Parker traveled with The Doctor for awhile. (I would also give my world for a Parker and Ten icon.)
A hand came to Parker's shoulder, but she ignored it. She had things to do. She had to pack. She didn't actually own much, but she wanted to be ready. The old shabby suitcase had traveled a lot with her, and it was just big enough to carry what she actually needed. She tossed in her favorite harness and ropes, then folded up a couple of outfits and tucked them in.
The hand came to her shoulder again. She pushed it off.
She had to pack.
What else, though?
Her bunny. Her bunny went everywhere with her, and this time she was going to be prepared to take him along. She set him on top of her things and looked around, trying to think of other things she had needed the last time she went away. There were a lot of things. Maybe she should go shopping. Shopping-ish.
“I need to get some stuff,” she said with a nod.
The hand grabbed her arm this time, and she spun around to look up at Hardison. “Parker, what're you doing?”
She pulled herself from his grasp and stepped back. “I have to be ready. For when he comes back.”
“What makes you think he is?”
“Why wouldn't he?” She asked, her voice slightly broken. “We had fun and...he liked me. He liked having me with him. He told me so.”
“You can't spend forever waitin' on him to slip by and pick you up,” Hardison pointed out. “From the sounds of things, he's kinda got bigger things on his mind.”
Parker just looked at him. “He'll come back for me.”
“And what if he doesn't?”
“Just...leave me alone, Hardison,” she said softly, giving him a shove and walking away.
Secretly she knew he'd probably never come back for her, but she still hoped. She hoped for once that someone didn't let her down and instead defied her expectations. She was worth it, wasn't she? He made her feel that way when she was with him.
The Doctor made her feel like the best person she could ever be, and she just wanted him to come back and take her away with him again.
