Cuddy arrived at the hospital early in the morning. The night staff was getting ready to go home so she made an effort to thank them profusely. She unlocked the doors to her office, she didn't notice the light glare on another shadow in the office. She turned on the lamp. It was still way to early and right now light was the devil. She finally turned to her desk. Cameron was lying on the desk. Cameron turned her face and it looked magical the way the moonlight traced around her flawless features. She sat up, smiling. 'How did you get into my office?' Cuddy stood very still. 'You weren't looking so great the last time I saw you. I thought maybe I could change that.'
'How exactly were you going to do that?' Cuddy's lips moved slowly, hauntingly uncertain. Cameron pushed herself off the desk. She was in a nice pastel dress, her hair messed up in a bun. 'Well you see, I started thinking about you last night. Not normal thinking, I mean the almost blush worthy thinking. It's kind of weird to talk about because I don't normally do this. I would never do this. It's getting really complicated for me to explain. I mean, after..my husband, and after that, my feelings for House, and then Chase, it's just really unbelievable. Really unexplainable.' she stood in front of Cuddy. 'I don't think I'm alone in that feeling.' Cameron wanted to place a hand on the woman in front of her, but knew better than that.
Cuddy's face was plain, she was following every sentence as best as she could, as calmly, as rationally. It would be a lie if she said her heart didn't lighten after the twitch that rumbled, echoing as it struck to her lower abdomen. Her lips turned up, Cameron touching her hands. She bit her lip as Cameron exhaled on her chin. The ticking on the clock beat as a small rhythm, feelings shifted from permission to desire. Their lips touched, both surprised when Cuddy took the initiative to invade the blonde's mouth. Low and slow their lips ached as they pressed together, kissing, sucking, tasting. There was no other existence, and the silence was making their tongues colliding passionatley, making this irreversable contact more of an entraptment. This was another attempt for Cuddy, her final moment of some sort of emotional existance. A piece of string that doesn't just get cut away by it's other half.
The kiss breaks movements, and yet takes away any sense of normalcy there ever was between them. Cameron senses how sensitive Cuddy is getting, she's almost losing the power to stand. She pulls away reluctantly, noticing Cuddy's eyes still tightly shut. It almost shatters her to the point that she worries if this was even possibly supposed to happen. What if she took this moment selfishly, and what if she starts to take it for granted. What if she's just fishing for some type of net she can get tangled up in until she has to really wake up from her life right now.
Cuddy opened her eyes to see the younger woman in a complicated state of thought. But then she looked at her, she felt as if she was going to regret what just happened. Cameron watched her looked puzzled and quickly kissed her softly, her finger tracing against the other woman's nose. 'I have to go. Just don't jump to any conclusions. I'll be back.' Cameron promised, laying her hand on Cuddy's stomach. Cuddy watched her leave but still felt her hand placed on her belly. She smiles when she goes down the hall, she even has the same banters with House and actually enjoys herself. She walks by oncology and Wilson needs to talk to her. For some reason she knows time is up, and she's ready to ask.
