Welcome back, Kate (if you are). I'm not really sure what the approriate response should be. You seem happy, and I'm glad. I'm glad you and TGG worked things out. I'm trying to get my Dave a little push, as we are still in the crush state - 2 years later.
I'm glad things worked out too. We still have the occasional tiff, but on the whole, things are much better. How are you planning to "push"? I always suck at that phase.
Kat! Welcome back! You sound very busy. It's good to hear that you and TGG worked things out before, and I hope you have made up. Fights are lame. And Spain sounds so awesome! I don't know any Spanish, I wish I did. Did you just stay in Spain or did you travel a little when you were there?
RA training? Fun. I get to do that, too! I hope you get a good group of people in your hall and that people will go to your programs. I totally would go to them! :D I'm afraid my activities won't be interesting to people.
I stayed in Spain, but I traveled within the country. Anyplace too far away was out of the question, time and money-wise.
RA training isn't too bad. I am lucky in that I love my staff. However, getting people to come to programs is tough because we're in apartment-style housing so people are more independent and there are no freshmen. Good luck with your training! I'm sure your activities will be amazing.
Whoa I just read this entry from August (!!!) How come I missed it!!
Firstly I think it is pretty cool you went to Toledo and met a few Spanish people. It must have been quite different from the US.
About that partying: well from my experience when students travel abroad for a short period of time, they decide to live it up a lot and do things they wouldn't normally do back home. The best thing is to try to be in touch with the locals as much as possible, so you actually get a better insight and experience to wherever you went.

I was lucky because my house mates were locals.
