computers are calculators attached to TV's
TV is radio with a fluorescent screen
radio is a wireless telegraph
telegraph with microphones is a telephone
A telephone network is an industrial scale calculator

Microelectronics are miniature suburbs.
Suburbs are transportation systems for cars.

IP addresses are nothing but telephone numbers, but don't tell anyone. They are the TN of a switch (mainframe).

Stacked protocols are pretty easy to understand and they run it all, everything between your finger physically clicking a key to close a circuit & Final Cut Pro. The problem is it's all so bloody dull, unless you're one of those kids who plays with trains until he's 85.
