It's been quiet for a while, not much blogworthy to report. Last week was STAR testing for all the little sophomores and juniors (suckahs!). The seniors, meanwhile, were all but encouraged to ditch by their teachers, since the alternative was to sit around and do nothing for 4 hours (!). Unfortunately, mine was not one of those teachers. hope you caught it. sin city is one of the best movies i've seen in a long time.
and, like i told matt, you should enjoy it even more than i did. lots and lots of semi-nude women...

Lots indeed. But yeah, it was an amazing movie. I was really impressed. I'd never read any of the graphic novels, but the movie had a really cool graphic novel feel to it. (Especially the scenes with the big shadows or the white and black silloeutes. Hard to put it all into words, but yeah, really awesome movie. I'm up for seeing it again if anyone else wants to go.

hey i'm up for seeing it as many times as someone will go with me. i think matt wants to see it too, you should ask him.
just let me know when you're up for going again.
(isn't it awesome? oh god i want to marry the cinematographers... the lighting... the color... i could die artistically happy)

Wonderful work! :) The complexity of this one is probably on the order of 10 times Sluggee Goes Skiing, which in itself was probably about 10 times as complex as Sluggee Goes Parachuting, but I bet it was easier to make in some areas...and almost impossibly more tough in others...LOL! ;) It's really getting a distinctive feel, which when you look back you can see is present in all of them, and is getting to really shine through as you get more and more comfortable with Flash as a tool. Congratulations! And congratulations as well on the Gentoo progress! :)

Thank you! Yeah, this was the first time I'd used real animation in flash, since before I'd gotten away with just moving things around the screen. It got a little rushed as the deadline approached, but I learned a lot about Flash, and I'm really happy with how it turned out overall.
