CANON (Romeo x Juliet)
Duke Montague
Relationship: Father ♛ | ♚ | ☠ | ♥
As far as this relationship is concerned, Romeo has enough respect for him as he is his father, but other than that, doesn't find much that he enjoys about him. He feels that his father rules in an unjust manner and, upon discovering that he murdered the Capulet family, goes against all of his wishes in various ways throughout the story. When he dies, however, we see that he truly does love his father and realized that all he wanted was to be loved and knew not how to love others.
Lady Portia
Relationship: Mother ♥♥♥♥♥ | ♛ | ♚
His mother left his father when he was only seven, but gave him the gift of friendship in Cielo, his pegasus. When she left, Cielo didn't replace, but mend, the hole in his heart she left behind, and as he reflects upon it he is always thankful for what she gave him. As he has grown older, he visits his mother very often, often bringing her flowers and simply catching her up with his life and whatever else may be going on. When she discovers his relationship with Juliet, she wishes him the best and prays for him often. Truly, Romeo also loves his mother as he loves his father - he didn't necessarily have to grow into loving her, however, as he always just did.
Mercutio
Relationship: Cousin ♚ | ♛ | ♣
Mercutio never had good intentions with Romeo, and as a perceptive young man, Romeo could sense this. At the same time, though, he tolerates and acknowledges him as his family as he knows it is right. In both the manga and the anime, Mercutio betrays him (manga - attempts to kill Juliet as she defies Montague, anime - kills Montague by literally stabbing him in the back), and ultimately amounts to nothing in Romeo's future.
Tybalt
Relationship: Half-Brother ♛ | ♥♥♥♥♥
Though he discovers a bit too late that he and Tybalt are related, once he is aware of this, Romeo trusts him completely and respects him to the core. It seems mutual; in both the anime and the manga, when he assists Romeo in the fight against Escalus, they both call each other "brother". Also, after Romeo passes away, Tybalt fulfills his wish in giving Petrucchio's brother and sister a ride on Cielo, and says in a very endearing manner that the pegasus "belonged to my [his] little brother."
Benvolio
Relationship: Friend ♛ | ღღღღღ
Romeo and Benvolio have been close since they were children, having grown up together in the royal kingdom (Benvolio is not actual royalty, however - his father is the mayor of the city, which allows them the same privileges as any Montague). Though Benvolio sometimes doubts Romeo's intentions against Montague as well as his relationship with Juliet, they are very close friends through and through.
Juliet
Relationship: Wife, love of his life, most amazing person ever, etc etc etc ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ | ♛
Where do we even begin with Romeo and Juliet? They fell in love at first sight, and Romeo can't honestly imagine himself with any other woman. She resisted him at first, as she knew it wasn't right for a Capulet and Montague to be together, but even as he realized that himself, he didn't care. He truly, truly loves her more than anything else in life, and fights every battle that he does for her first. When both die - he in her arms, and she as she holds him - they are finally granted the freedom to be together for eternity, and save the world they left behind with their love. They are bonded until the end of time, and even beyond that.
ELEGY
Juliet
Relationship: Fiance, love of his life, most amazing person ever, etc etc etc ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ | ♛
In Elegy, he meets Juliet without knowing it is her at first; he arrives when the Red Whirlwind arrives. Later on, feeling guilty, Juliet admits her identity to him, and both realize that their true purpose for being in Elegy is to finally have the freedom to be together. As their feelings grow, Romeo proposes to her on Christmas, to which she quickly and happily agrees. Currently, the wedding is being planned, and will hopefully occur in the spring when the weather is warmer.
Death the Kid
Relationship: Friend ♛ | ღღღღღ
Kid was one of the first people that Romeo interacted with in Elegy - they met as Romeo found him in the hallway of the Mezzo trying to "align" certain impossibilities to be symmetrical. Eventually the two got to talking more, and found that they have a common interest - flying. Romeo introduces Kid to Cielo, who also was sent to Elegy with him, while Romeo had the chance to ride Beelzebub. The two have become very close friends, and Romeo openly considers him his best friend in Elegy and maybe even past that, as well.
Ezio
Relationship: Acquaintance ★
They have only had several conversations, but based on Romeo's interest in swordfighting, he already respects Ezio a great deal. He looks forward to the day they can spar together!
Cristina
Relationship: Acquaintance ★
Another one he wishes to know better - he will have the opportunity, though, as Cristina kindly offered to help him plan his wedding.
Ai
Relationship: Friend ღ
She's offered to make Juliet her wedding dress... and for that, Romeo is eternally grateful. He's confident that they'll become even greater friends as the time passes because of this and other factors.
Rory
Relationship: ... ☠
He doesn't really know Rory... but Rory lashed out at Romeo for reasons still unknown, and is therefore, isn't exactly on his good side.
