My brothers and I are very political - if sort of heterodox and roll-your-own in our political positions. But with my brother dave's background as an activist, my brother John's work as a political analyist and campaign manager for the NRDC and my own background in strategic planning, it all makes for some pretty awesome (and awesomely informed)

I for one am sick of people telling me how much we white professional ladies (and also we of white working-class extraction) love Hillary Clinton. It is not a fact. I'm all for lady presidents, but I want a lady president who doesn't embarrass me. The link in my LJ from today sums it up for me wrt the question of supporting Clinton on solely feminist grounds.

I'm excited about Obama's post-boomer status as well, but it's partly because I'm as sick of hearing about Vietnam at election time as I am of hearing grown men complain about their mothers.
