Thank you so much for this wonderfully funny story - a delightful surprise indeed! If I listed all the parts I enjoyed the whole story would be here :) However I will mention some parts below.

For some reason getting a yam in a trade appealed to my ridiculous sense of humour, so did the duck farting and pooing on Elrond's desk thus proving that the duck must be Legolas. The ducks hairstyle completely killed me - the visual made me giggle - and still does even though I first read it yesterday. There is so much more I could mention here like the egg, and the duckling imprinting Glorfindel, and Elrond turning the tables on Legolas - they are just a few of the many parts that made me smile.

Thank you so much for writing this for me. I will have to think of an amusing story I can write for you :)

Thanks, Glorfindel. I'm so happy you like this. It was a pleasure writing it for you. When you mentioned the idea I thought it was silly but then I couldn't get it out of my head. I don't write absurdist comedy as well as you so it means a lot to me that I managed to amuse you. Thanks for your comments and for the fun prompt. :-)

I'm going to hold you to that!

I think you've taken a perilous step into Binky's intoxicated elf world.
Be careful, once you've tasted the mushrooms there's no going back.

"Finally he took the egg and eased it down the back of his trousers, lodging it firmly but gently between his arse cheeks, for there was nowhere on Arda as safe and warm as the crack of an Elf."

I won't ever be able to forget this statement now.
Oh Elrond - Pass the trifle.

Thanks, Mithrail, I appreciate your comments. I should have known I was for it when Binky offered me those mushrooms. lol

If anyone can incubate an egg and ride a horse at the same time it would be Glorfindel, in my estimation. Glad that line resonated with you in a whacky way.

Well, that was pleasantly insane.

I'm trying to get back into LJ and thought I'd swing by the various accounts of fannish friends to see what's up. I hope you are well.

"What you have here is a simple Albino Mirkwood Yellow-crested Mallard with a braided crest. I’m surprised Radagast didn’t recognize it. They are quite common in the great forest."

Beoduckings.

Snort.
