This is a proclamation of sorts. While I don't really feel like this is absolutely necessary, I know a lot of people who might want explanations, as I feel as though I've become somewhat of an enigma to a lot of old friends

My best friend and erstwhile roommate was diagnosed with bipolar disorder shortly after she and I participated in some of the most manic and self-destructive behavior of my entire life... and then I rode with her on the inevitable crash afterwards. She and I lived together through some really tough stuff... like, Lifetime Movie kind of tough... which only exacerbated things. She went on the meds, and evened out... but still struggles with using them from time to time. She's an actress, and they can be counterproductive to trying to play a scene, so she occasionally goes off them for a show... which can lead to interesting results. All in all, though, she is functioning incredibly well

Most definitely. I would love to see you. How long are you at home? I get back today (Dec 22) and will be around until January 21... although Jan 7-14 I'll be in the Twin Cities.

Maybe I should ask you via Facebook. Hmm. I wonder what you will check first.

i'm wondering if you got my reply to your query. it went like this:

"ohhhh wow. im glad you sent this, because i made the jump to gmail and hadnt checked hotmail in ages. its been officially received now, though; youre wonderful; there will be a response sooner rather than later."

I just sent the response i spoke of, officially.
