You have to like this. The fact that Edward is different from when he first got his watch so of course he would have a different name.

"I'm just not used to beginnings."

This was my favorite line because it is true. Edward hasn't really had a beginning since he decided to preform human transmutation. He's been attempting to finish since then. Being in a world which does not know him offers him a beginning that he would be hard-pressed to find in his world.

I kept trying to write him as Fullmetal, and I finally realized that it wasn't working because he's not Fullmetal anymore. So it only made sense to give him a new name.

It was hard to pick one though. XD

I'm really enjoying the direction this has taken, with 'Tom' taking the SA exam - and getting a different name, that was nice touch. Good job with the naming, too. *is having headaches with Ed's SA name in her own AU* XD

The portrayal of Ed's talents was very nice indeed, as was that ending. ^^
